Season 5 Valentines- Suggestions & Feedback?

Hola, y'all. For Valentine's Day of the coming year, I am thinking of creating valentines of some of the characters of season 5. I plan to cover basically only new major characters (such as Starlight, Tree Hugger, Coloratura, Svengallop), some BG ponies (the Slice of Life ponies), extras (such as the Princess Spike workers) and rarely occurring returning characters (like Gilda, Sheriff Silverstar, and Cherry Jubilee). I would like to do it in the pointy pony style (was considering show-accurate vectors but figured that would take forever). 

 

On each valentine I plan on writing some cheesy line that the character would probably say (i.e. "You are simply unequaled!" for Starlight Glimmer) that's related to Valentine's day in some way, or would sound like something you could find on a valentine. 

 

Here's my current list of valentine ideas (each bullet represents one valentine, so some ponies are gonna be sharing some space. Sorry!):

Wow, that is a LOT of ponies. Good thing I thought of this well in advance. Also, I have NOT yet seen "Scare Master" and "What About Discord?" so if I'm missing any major characters from those eps, please let me know.

 

I realize that I didn't include every pony here, but this is where I'm looking for your feedback. There are a few that I kinda wanna include, but also don't wanna include, but might potentially fall under the category of "How Upset Fans Might Be If I Don't Include Him/Her/Them":

• Whoa Nelly (the fat "Incidental Pony")
• Big Mac as Cousin Orchard Blossom
• The CMC with their new cutie marks
• Bowling Ponies
• Braeburn
• Coco Pommel
• Maud Pie
• Others

Would you like to see these ponies in valentines? Are there any other ponies you'd like to see in this list? Do you have any design or otherwise stylistic suggestions for these? Would you like to help me create them?

OK, here's a rough draft of one of my valentines.

 

What do you guys think? Is the color OK? The font? The design? The cheesy one-liner?

This is an absolutely adorkable idea!

 

Might I also make a suggestion?  Valentines Day is about all the love and such... but there's a dark side to it as well; as a gag, you could do "Discorded Valentines", with the color washed out and another cheesy line, but this time something more... sinister?  Maybe something obsessive, like a Discorded Fluttershy screaming "I'LL MAKE YOU LOVE ME!", or the like?  Rarity making a 'Tom' one-liner ("Mine... ALL mine!")?  

 

Just a thought.

Interesting idea! Sounds fun, but the problem is I'm not very good at analyzing the dark side of things, so I may not be able to do that for everypony, and the lines I come up with might not make much sense, LOL. But hey, I'll give it a shot if I have time, maybe as bonus valentines?

EDIT: Forgot I was the last poster and this post merged with the previous.

 

So I'm finally done with the second, made one with a blue theme for these guys. The line is based off of Party Favor's quote about "Searching for something missing from our lives". If you have a better one, I'm all ears.

 

Also, you may notice that I made simplified cutie marks (figured it was fitting for a simple pony style). Otherwise, let me know if anything about the art can be improved (like if I drew a mane wrong?), or if I could alter the weird little geometric backgrounds.

 

Should I use the same fonts for all the valentines?

I plan on using only these three designs and color schemes for the valentines. Do you think I should design another?

 

Again, if the pony's design is off or the line too awkward, please let me know and please suggest an alternative!

Imo the scene from thr grand galloping galla were fluttershy is like, "YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE ME" would be perfect as a valentine's day card to a family member. For a friend, "friendship is magic" would be good. And for your gf or bf whichever if you have one idk I'll come back if I think of one that would fit.

I'm sorta going for cheesy/funny valentines this time, that's why I wrote those lines. Plus I sorta wanna honor the major and minor characters of the most recent season. 

So I'm just gonna ask if anyone thinks I should post the next batch here soon and ask for feedback, or if I should just make a new post in Pony Fan Art.
