Opinions on CollegeHumor's video about us?

Actually... That's not it at all. Some of collegehumor's employees are bronies. It's not that they "don't understand" it's that it's satire. It's meant to be a joke. Jokes aren't meant to be accurate.

A bit self-mockery is not bad :ooh:.

In my opinion, the best CH sketch i've seen from them is the Wolfenstein sketch:

Japan, where Yo-Kai Watch's second movie has more success than The Force Awakens :umad:

That video was really offensive...

Not every brony likes Cheetos.

But really though, I thought it was really funny to see the stereotypes represented. It's so funny to see how wrong people can be.

See the fact that you resorted to "how wrong people can be" tells me your reaction is a defense mechanism which leads me to believe you're more offeneed than you let on.

Oh, yes I understand that :) No doubt about it, some things can be mirrored with mature content. It's just that, that wasn't my point. It's the stuff without any lesson at all, just for mere pleasure and entertainment: That sickens me. Like Cupcakes for example, I loved it before I watched the show (A little story about that side of me :P) but now it can sometimes come back and ruin my view of the show. Though now, I can resolve those thoughts with my knowledge, but still. I watched the animation, so it's ingrained in my memory... Also, I read some other ones... I now hate that I did. Also, I really don't clopping has any lessons to teach... :/ it should be the dad/mom/teacher/friend who defines what the birds and the bees are... And it isn't healthy anyways. Less healthy than even porn (with human beings - which is less awkward to explain)

Sorry to be the wet blanket, but I think the video is offensive and stereotypical, and I almost never get offended. It's the reason why I don't watch CollegeHumor  >_>

That is not the response I expected from quoting a funny comment and then saying my views. Part of my range of humor is seeing people have wildly incorrect assumptions about something I'm a part of. It's really because it shows how stupid people can be.

See that too kind of comes off as bitter. It's implying that people are stupid because they have a negative view of something you like.

The only harm I can see is when people don't just take it as a joke and it rubs off on there opinion, when I never talked to furrys from all the videos that made jokes about them on you tube I kinda just stereotyped they were all perverts and mentally ill. I wasn't really thinking and it seemed every one else thought that way so why question it, so why wouldn't some people think the same about this video. I'm not saying we should censor things and junk just that's the only harm I see.

The whole sexualization of ponies grosses me out, and so does the violence with ponies. But my reason is a little developed. I find the show to be an innocent getaway from the real world, and when you have people who corrupt it, they can cause a lot of negative results, and the scarring of some people who enjoy the show for what it stands for purely

Now, I say this not to rage or vent, just my opinion. Do I hate the people who made that stuff? No. But I do hate what they made, and I want it all to burn in an eternal flame pit. :3 where it belongs. (Wonder if I'll get flak for this post XD)

You are entitled to your opinion, but I respectfully disagree. I believe that any piece of work has a right to exist as long as it;

A. Is legal

B. Shows competence in its respective craft

C. Is distributed properly

So, if there was a vile, disgusting piece of MLP gore porn, I am fine with it existing (even though I wouldn't want to look at it), as long as the artist used proper technical skills to make it and released it on a site dedicated to such things. I realize that this is a bit of an extreme (though not unrealistic) example, but you did use the words "eternal flame pit." I take eternal flame pits very seriously. ^_^

You can replace every supposed "Brony reference" in that video with a Star Trek reference, and the jokes would still have the same punchline. I watched it expecting a skewering, and instead I was simply underwhelmed. I'm impossible to offend, and I pride myself on that fact, but that doesn't mean I laugh at every joke that tries.

Now the second one, on the other hand, is fucking genius. It actually satirizes the fandom it aims at, instead of just making generic nerd jokes.

I lost it at "An ill-advised tattoo."

You may see it that way, but to me I'm just laughing because I know the truth. How many jokes are made on TV and in movies that are about someone not knowing something and other people do? People laugh at this in real life! People play pranks on each other by telling them something and they believe it, while the other person laughs because they know the truth. It's a completely normal and non-bitter sense of humor.
