spoiler Would bringing Amore back affect Cadance and Shining Armor?

The Siege of the Crystal Empire arc ended in Sombra being reformed and going on a journey with Hope across Equestria to find and piece together Princess Amore's shattered statue and revive her. But would doing so affect Shining Armor and Cadance's rule over the Crystal Empire or would Amore recognize that her time is over and graciously hand over control to the new prince and princess?

Personally I've never heard about this. I thought Sombra died after being banished from Equestria. What is Amore?

Well, in comic canon, Sombra didn't died. Princess Amore was an unicorn who ruled the Crystal Empire before Sombra took over. She was first mentioned in the Journal of the Two Princess, and appeared in Sombra's Fiendship is Magic comic.

It will be interesting to see if they go back to that storyline, though I wonder if they will considering the negative backlash the arc received?

 

In any case I doubt Amore would be that against Cadence & Shining Armor's rule over the Empire. Amore, IIRC, is on very good terms with Celestia and Luna (Journal of the Two Sisters, for reference) so I doubt would want to upset what is going on there.

Now that's a good question. Since Cadance now is the sovereign of the Crystal Empire, if Amore is revived, it would cause some concern as to what Amore should do now that she's no longer the Crystal Empire's sovereign.

 

Perhaps she could become an advisor to Cadance and Shining Armor, using her wisdom and advice from so long ago to better improve the Empire under Cadance and Shining Armor's leadership.
