You'd like to wear it yourself, but you can't because deep down, you think it'll corrupt you and make you do evil things. Therefore, you also don't want to leave it in your possession because you know it'll eventually be discovered and fall in the wrong hands.So you decide to take the gauntlet to Equestria where ponies are much less inclined to do harm with it. And since none of them have hands, you remove the Infinity Gems and graft them onto a horseshoe for a certain pony to keep. Despite minimizing any potential damage, you still need to choose this pony carefully, as they can still get carried away and do something stupid with it. Even Twilight. Which pony would you trust? Space Gem: Limitless manipulation of space, allowing for teleportation, dimensional manipulation, creation of wormholes, etc. Soul Gem: Limitless manipulation of souls both alive and dead also has shown to be able to evolve or devolve a beings physical self as well as their mental capacities. Reality Gem: Locally or universally alters the natural laws of the universe to the wielders will. Power Gem: Controls all of the power in the universe. It can be used to augment or inhibit any force. Mind Gem: Taps the user into the universal consciousness, allowing for unlimited manipulation of psionic powers including telepathy and telekinesis. No questions asked. As a glove state it can't be used by ponies. For starters, I would use the Infinity Gauntlet not keep it away in Equestria. Because in a glove state, it can still be used by other species, including dragons, centaurs and even Discord. Ponies may abuse it, but they're also a lot less likely to kill billions of sentient life forms all over the universe like Thanos did. No questions asked. Who is to say a person wouldn't be automatically corrupted by it, even the 'innocent' ponies still have flaws. But why not just destroy them with their own power? And what pony would not get bored of how much pwoer it brings? Thus that boredom would lead to doing mass scale changes of the world, or handing them off to someone who would. Or ponies with powerful magic. The best thing you could possibly do to minimize abuse of the gems is to give each of them to six different ponies, and even then, they can still get their asses kicked by whoever's trying to reassmble them, which is exactly what Thanos did.
