Imagine if the WWE revived the Starrcade wrestling PPV which was NWA's and WCW's equivalent to Wrestlemania. If it was revived I would like to see it treated like a second Wrestlemania held later in the year but with the much younger or less used Superstars or Divas getting the spotlight matches.

 

I would love to see a Starrcade revival as that event has so much heritage and it was just as important of a event as Wrestlemania.

 

Would you like to see WWE revive that PPV and if they did what would you like them to do with it?

 

WWE own the rights to the "Starrcade" name so it is possible.

I would. We all would. But "we" aren't the target audience anymore. 

 

Vince McMahon has an ego the size of the observable cosmos. If he didn't build it, if his brand name isn't on it, then we will not green light it. He had the opportunity to make money from the WCW fanbase in 2001 by showing due deference to WCW stars and the companies properties. What did he do instead? Shame and embarrass the majority of WCW athletes while locking away all archived footage for years. 

 

Starcade was important, but VKM practically owns american wrestling history. The only reason he lets WCW & NWA ever be mentioned is so that he can tell the world that he beat them senseless and now owns them. And even if it were, what would it replace? WWE already has too many PPVs. If it's going to be so big, it woudl need to replace Survivor Series or the Rumble to keep at least in lien with the general time. And there's no way the modern "WWE Universe" would ever get behind that. Pretty sure most of those brats have never even heard the word Starcade.

They could replace Night of Champions or TLC I personally hate those PPV's they usually end up totally crap, WWE could benefit hugely from having another event like Wrestlemania and I can only see Starrcade having the big name impact of doing it. "WWE Starrcade" Imagine all that money...Vince would like! xP

I would much rather remove the gimmick PPVs and just have the 4 main PPVs instead every year (Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania) that way, Storylines and Rivalries could be build up longer.

Yeah there's no way they'd use a WCW PPV when they can continue shitting on the company instead. And it'll probably stay that way until Vince dies

 

Besides why use Starrcade when there are better names like TLC, Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, Elimination Chamber :diamondtiara:

WWE could most likely afford it with the amount of money they make, just stop TLC and Night of Champions.
