Naming Your Children After MLP Characters?

Luna is pretty normal name, all things considered, so I can see someone giving their kid that name. Most of the others, though, not so much. I wouldn't inflict a name like Twilight Sparkle or Rainbow Dash on an actual child (though I know a kid named Spike) but then there are people walking around with names like Login and Broadcast. If I had to choose between that and a pony name, I'll take the pony name.

There are people with weird names and last names but they still have some kind of history behind them down their blood line.

Hmm, no. I can preview a pony-named child being bullied. But SOME of the ponies names are actual human names (ex: Luna, Lyra, Octavia) that could work perfectly.

Of course MLP names aren't the worst names to give to your children.

If I did, though, I would recognize the cruelty that young kids tend to posses and respect my own children by not giving other kids the bullying ammunition of a strange name.

Yes, but you need to keep in mind that this is their name for the rest of their lives. You might want to use it as a middle name just to be safe. Maybe you could name your daughter's first name as Luna or Cadence.

I've always liked the name Cadence for some reason. That or Luna seems to be one of the only names that would work for a child.

Also Octavia would work too. I forgot.

Seriously, I would not give a child of mine a name which would make it an easy target to be picked on
