Just got my hands on Photoshop CC yesterday and trying out the Pen Tool, miles away better than GIMP's. Also, I'm not using a Tablet Pen. 

 

Starlight being Glimmer...

Well, GIMP and Photoshop are basically the same but Photoshop is more powerful and has lot more features. I've used GimP (its free) for years until I decided to buy me some Photoshop.
