Mist walked up to the front counter of the sauna and a spa pony told him and Diva that they needed to book a room. Mist thought about it and decided that since there weren't seperet boy and girl rooms Mist and Diva would share. Mist was about to book the Sauna room but realised that Diva might have a problem sharing. He turned to her, "would you mind sharing a sauna or do you want to be alone?" he asked.

"Okay bye then" said Sigma locking the door to the room and tossing it to Mist. The group of him, Dust and Mentis headed to the lobby, the Pegasi flying the way with Sigma galloping behind them, slightly jealously. 

 

Once they were in the lobby, Sigma saw a sign that said Dining Hall and suggested "let's go here"

Diva looked to the air, putting a wing to her chin is false thought. "I DUNNO, MIST DEARIE", she wondered, "YOU CHOOSE".

 

She turned back to Mist, grinning. "And be honest to yourself. I don't mind, honestly! Besides..." She sighed speaking in what a pony would call a normal volume , "I'd hate to be alone~"

Mist gulped and blushed. He turned to the spa pony, "one share sauna please," Mist said without giving a second thought.

"Sauna 5," said the spa pony, "you have one hour. And if your gonna 'horse around' clean up after yourself." he said with a wink.

Mist blushed. He walked to sauna 5 and opened the door, "ladies first."

Diva giggled at mist's discomfort. "Ever the gentlecolt, Mist~" she complimented, slipping through the door, the hot air hitting her like a wall. "Oh, my" she said, her feathers shook a little. "sure is warm here."

 

She took a seat on one of the many wooden benches that lined the room. She looked around for the source of the heat. "Do they use coals here? Magic?"

"Sure why not we can see the menu and what is up for grub at least and then we can tell the others when it's dinner or lunch depending on when everypony gets hungry." Mentis landed and walked now he could tell that sigma did not really like him flying and he did not want to make him feel uncomfortable.

"I'm not sure," Mist said to Diva as he followed her into the sauna, "but I think its natural steam pockets." Mist sat down and let the steam melt his trouble s away. Mist looked up at Diva and blushed, she looked even better now. "You're so hot," Mist said to her, Mist realised what he said and stuttered, "I mean it's hot. In here." Mist blushed even harder.

Diva threw her head back and laughed, barely able to get her words out in her mirth. "YES, YES, I KNOW, HON. YOU TOO, HON~" She cooed, hopping onto the same bench as mist and brushing against his wing with her own. 

 

She laid back against Mist, resting her head against him and let out a content sigh. "Sure is nice here"

Mist blushed as Diva leaned against him, "it is pretty nice," Mist said softely. Mist gulped, (okay Mist now's your chance,) he thought to himself. He looked at Diva, "um look you probably get this a lot, cause you're so pretty, but maybe you might, and feel free to say no, want to let me take you to dinner," Mist said.

Diva breathed out shakily. 'Oh goodness, he's asking me on a date' she thought to herself, her mind racing.. relative to how fast her mind usually moves. 'I mean, I've know him only for a day but...'

 

She tilted up her head to look at the colt she was leaning on. 'So far, he's been nice, polite, and he's quite the looker too...'

 

Her decision made, Diva La Vida sat upright and swept Mist into a close hug with her wings. Face to face

 

 "That sounds lovely, dearie"

"Yeah I understand you probably go for guys way better looking than..." Mist's head shot up, "wait did you say that sounds lovely. As in yes." Mist's breath quickened, "I can't believe it. The prettiest mare in Equestrian just agreed to go out with me. Oh Celestial if this is a dream to not wake me up."

Diva giggled, giving Mist a quick peck on the cheek, breaking off from the hug and looking away. "A free holiday to the most luxurious resort in all of Equestria, snuggled in these beautiful mountains..."

 

She sighed wistfully, stroking her mane with a wing and turning back to Mist, smiling. "You might as well have been dreaming all along."

Mist smiled back at Diva and sat back. Letting the steam cleanse his pours. This was turning out to be the best day ever. Free hotel, new friends and a date a Diva it was all perfect. He looked at Diva, "so do you have any idea where you might want to go for dinner?" he asked.

Diva sat back next to Mist, nearly mimicking his position. "I have NO IDEA!" she proclaimed, her loudness back in ( almost ) full force. She seemed almost sounded proud of it. "But I was hoping to try out the ski slopes before dinner.."

 

She retrieved the pamphlet she had taken earlier from the pass of feathers which were her wings and fanned it out, pushing up against Mist so that he could see it too. She wrapped a wing around him, and used the other to trace the ski routes.

Dust looks at the dining hall, still flying. "Well, i can't say no to food. Even if it is just looking at it." Dust noticed that Mentis landen and started walking, so she decides to land to and started walking. "So, what is the plan after this?" she grins

In a complete coincidence of narrative, the on-site dinner venue was where Sigma, Dust and Mentis were headed.

While they were walking towards the hall, Sigma tried to start some polite conversation with the other ponies. "So, where did you guys come from then?"

"Well, i'm from Cloudsville which is nice i guess. Don't really want to start talking about my past to be honest. I havent got the happiest story as a filly" She sighs nearlly sheding a tear."Anyway where are you from, Mentis?" She looks Sigma in the eyes, notablly sad.

"Me? I'm from Cloudsdale as well, but I was really just born there, I grew up in Canterlot with my mother." Mentis looked to Sigma for this part.

Mist smile as he read the map and put his wing around. He'd never been skiing but had always wanted to try it. But Mist had a feeling he'd probably fall over a lot. "I think that skiing would be a really 'cool' idea," Mist said chuckling at his pun, "and then maybe we could go to this Italian place just outside the hotel?"

Diva laughed at the pun. "You're funny, Mist!" she complimented, laying back and enjoying the sauna. "AND YES, ITALIAN SOUNDS FINE!" 

 

She frowned, looking around the sauna for a clock of any sorts. "Any idea how much time we have left, dearie?" she asked, pushing up against Mist.

Mist smiled, "I dont know and truth is I don't care," Mist said with a smile, "cause I would be happy sitting here with you for the rest of my life." MIst was about to say something else when he was interupted by a knock on the door. "Hour's up," said a pony from he outside, "time to let other ponies in." Mist turned to Diva, " I guess it's time to go skiing." he said happily.

"Aw... you're a smooth one, aren't you?" she cooed, walking out of the sauna, sweat dripping down her body. She grabbed a towel off a nearby rack to wipe herself off. Her large wings seemed to soak up liquid like a sponge, wetting the floor in her wake much to the staff's dismay.

 

"I'M GONNA HEAD OVER TO THE SHOWERS NOW, HON! Nothing like a cold shower after a sauna..." she recommended, sighing wistfully.

Mist tried his hardest to make sure that his wings didn't sprout again as Diva dried herself off. Infact he was concentrateding so hard that he almost didn't hear Diva recomend the shower. "That sounds good," Mist said pretending like he'd been listening the whole time, "i think i'll have one too. I'll meet you back here after." Mist left Diva and walked into the shower. He turned on the cold water and smiled. "Diva was right this is great," Mist said to himself.

Diva stepped into the shower, a forlorn look on her face. She let out a small sigh of pleasure as the cold water washed over her, tightening her pores.

 

She stood there, contemplating the events of the day as she washed her mane. 'Mist is sweet and all. One of the nicest ponies I've met, even. It's just that....'

 

She sighed.

 

'This place is so unreal. I mean, free food and lodging: an all paid for holiday... My friends back at home can't even smell this kind of lifestyle. Like Mist himself said: like a dream. So many ponies need this more than me.'

 

Diva la vida opened her eyes, a shiver washing over her.

 

'Forget this. The letter was addressed to me. And I'm already here anyway,.'

 

She Grinned.

 

"And damn it all if I'm not going to enjoy myself while I can."

 

Her little internal monologue finished, she shut off the water and dried herself off before walking out of the showers to meet Mist.

 

( I would have her sing during this part, but for the love of god I can't find a suitable song )

Mist sighed in relief as he turned off the shower. The cool water really made him feel more refreshed. As dried himself he thought about his date with Diva. Even just thinking that made him giddy. He still couldn't believe she said yes. Mist walked out of the shower and saw Diva waiting for him. He walked over to her and smiled, "shall we ski malady?" he asked.
