While both bands are insanely talented I have to say that I like Amon Amarth more simply because their music is heavier and the vocalist is a total beast. However Tyr is a great band just not on Amon Amarth's level.

Admittedly haven't listened to Tyr. I have seen Amon Amarth live though, and they know how to deliver. Looking forward to when they release Jomsviking.
