Shadow raised his claw to stop the attack, picked up his scythe, said, as he swung the scythe at the creature's neck, 
"How many are there that I have to kill?"

He walked to away from the elevator and said, 

"Hey, voice is there a kitchen around, I'm getting kinda hungry."

Despite having cut off the head the creature was not dead, the creature continued to swing at Shadow Beast with it's powerful claws as he passed it, landing a solid hit on one of his legs. The voice was silent, whether it was by choice or not was not something that could easily be determined.

When it the scales, he turned to it and said as he dropped the scythe, 

"Ya shouldn't have done that and should have walked away."

He lunged at it and started clawing it to shreds. After he was done shredding it. He picked up his scythe and walked away, catching his breath.

Pink sounded jaded. "Whatever that thing was, I don't think it was ever a pony. It might just be another article in the collection here- there are obviously more things than us, and they didn't force us to fight gladatorial-style or anything, so either they want to document our distinct species, or simply keep us around for show." 

She looked down the grate at the elevator shaft. 

"Whatever you do- make sure the elevator is below us when you go down there. There's usually a door in the top, but not in the bottom, so if it's going to fast we can escape to the inside of the elevator."

Or did he? Shadow was beginning to have trouble remembering things that happened since he had exited the elevator, perhaps it had something to do with the red gas he may or may not have seen earlier from a creature that was clearly impossible. Maybe none of it had actually happened? He heard a voice from deeper within the storage area he found himself in. "Hello? Who's there?"

Redwood too began to have distinct trouble remembering what she had seen at the bottom of the elevator. The more she thought of is the more impossible the experience seemed. Maybe she had simply imagined the experience?

 

(SCP-939 or the creatures in the storage area emits a mild amnestic which can inhibit and reverse the formation of memories during the time they were exposed to it and up to 30 minutes afterwards, effectively you forget the encounter soon after encountering them.)

Gale gave a slight nod as she basically moved the grate to the side. The last thing she wanted to do was make unneeded noise. "If we fall, I can fly." She said. "I think we should probably be focused on generally moving up. It seems like we may be below ground due to the lack of Windows to the outside. The dragoness then looked into the elevator, trying to figure out which way to go.

He said as he swapped his scythe for a big knife that he had to drag behind him and started looking around for any sign a movement,

"My name is Shadow Beast. Ya better show yourself, unarmed, and tell me who ya are, or I will have to kill ya. I lost a claw already, so I'm not in an agreeable mood at the moment."

Looking into the elevator shaft it was clear that it only went down from here. The elevator could be seen in the distance at what was possibly the bottom of the shaft. She could faintly hear the voices of Shadow and Redwood down below.

"Please don't kill me,"

 

Shadow could hear Redwood's voice from back by the elevator. "Hey! You should come join us back upstairs, we should really stick together if we want to get out of this place."

 

 A faint shuffling could be heard from the opposite side of the room from Shadow.

Shadow grew frustrated and said as he pulled out a throwing knife and chucked it at the end of the room,
"I said show yourself. I won't kill ya if ya show yourself and don't attack me."

He said as he turned to the elevator,

"I'm not going to be leaving until I get some food."

Copper groaned in anger.  He didn't want to die so early.   He kept running, making a right and looking at the hallway, it looked like the one he was in.  He didn't hesitate, he kept running, trying to keep as much distance as he could from the creature at all costs.

" ...I just had the amazing ideia of putting papers on my clipboard!" She levitates "her" clipboard, turns the balls into straight paper again and puts on the clipboard, and glues it back to her hair.

 

After that, she decided to press a button of a random door (you can decide) to see what's the next room.

He heard Redwood's voice again. "Unless you plan on eating those things I don't think you will find any food down there."

She found herself back in the hallway outside the small testing room that she had started at, it seemed she had explored all the right side had to offer, now she could explore the left side of the hallway.

Shadow shrugged his shoulders and  walked over to the over side of the room while dragging his sword behind him. When he got to the other side of the room, he looked around and saw that his knife was embedded into the wall. he yanked it out, reached into a portal and walked in. He came out in the elevator and pressed the button

He eventually reached a second corner turning right into another tunnel like the one he was in, except this time there was an opening about halfway down the right side of the new hallway.

As the elevator doors closed he caught a glint of what looked like metal in the mouth of the severed head. The doors opened again at the floor he had started from to reveal Redwood standing where she was when he left.

The elevator ascended stopping with its top just under the bottom of the grate looking into the shaft.

Gale figured that taking the elevator would be the best way up, but she had no idea what was even inside of it. For all she knew, it could be a trap.The dragoness then made her way back to where the vents split and continued forward in relation to her current position.

Redwood wasn't quite sure what to do now. She was utterly lost and couldn't find anypony. Since there didn't seem to be any other places to go, Redwood set off down the route Copper had taken. This nightmare lab seemed to go on forever, and every corner held the threat of her death.

Copper was panting a little bit, the after effects of the Super Spin Dash still lingering.  But he managed to pull through to a another hallway.  He saw an opening about halfway from the hallway.  He trotted over to the opening, hoping to find anything that can at least help him escape this place.

Shadow followed pony as he kept his ears open for any sound that might be trouble, eye's sharp for any movement and his nose open for any smell of food. His blade was making a scraping noise from being dragged behind him. He said,

The opening extended into another hallway, at the end of which was the open doors of another elevator.

She couldn't tell which way Copper and the rest had gone, but heading through the open door directly across from the elevator seemed to be a more likely path than through the closed door to her right. The elevator doors opened behind her as Shadow Beast returned from the storage area.

The vents were very dark as she passed further from where she had entered, as she passed into the vents over what would be the next room she could hear the faint buzz of electricity that seemed to be loudest at the center.

Copper didn't know how long this was gonna take.  Now he was in a hallway that, soon, led to doors of another elevator.  "Whatever is at the way the elevator takes me had better be the way to my saddlebag." he said to himself as he trotted over to the elevator.  He grumbled before pushing the button, making the doors close.

Redwood whipped around at the sound of Shadow's scythe scraping across the floor.

 

"Oh, ah thought y'all was another monster or somethin'," she said. "Howdy, ah'm Redwood. Hey, where did everypony else go? Ah went down th' elevator, and when ah came back they were all gone."

Shadow shrugged his shoulder and said as he held out a claw, 

"Nope, I'm a hybrid, not a monster. I don't know where the other are. I was partially in my portal, then when I got my spare claw, they were gone. Pleasure to meet ya, Redwood."

He placed his giant sword on his back, right between his metal wings, it was touching the ground

"Anyways, ah'm gonna head this way and see what ah can find," Redwood said, pointing at the open door. "Y'all are welcome to come with. Safety in numbers after all."

 

Redwood began to walk down the hall. She could only hope her search would get her some answers, or at least get her somewhere.

Shadow followed Redwood as he was using his wing as a portal. He rummaged through it, searching for a pouch of throwing knives. He found it and placed it around his waist. He pulled them out one by one as he checked the condition they were in. Most of them were in goood condition, but others were busted, mangled or rusted. He threw the poor condition into the walls as he walked by

When the doors opened again he found himself in a room very similar to the one he had entered the elevator from, with a security door on his left and a normal door on his right. However, he noticed a slightly burned note on the floor by the security door that wasn't there before, perhaps he had made his way to the other side of the security door by traveling through the maintenance tunnels.

The grate from the fan was open and the fan adjusted in such a way as to allow access to the vents, they could hear a faint shuffling sound from within.

 

The door at the end of the hallway opened as they approached revealing another stretch of hallway, this one had a sort of large metal gateway with a sign that read: DANGER: NO PASSING WHEN THE TESLA GATE IS ACTIVE. They could hear the faint hum of electricity which grew louder the closer they got to the gate. They could hear a faint shuffling noise in the ceiling, possibly from the vents again.

 

They could hear the door around the corner behind them open again, who it could be was limited to a few options.
