I was simply standing off to the side, watching. Observing. Fully clothed and relatively far away from the 'action' as some might call it. I never really understood the need for competitions such as this. Girls had the odd habit of dressing in barely anything, and then complaining when people notice them.

Nero glanced at Ocean and decided it would be best to explain the situation to ger. "The rabbit judge began to laugh as soon as she passed the female snake and hawk. The latter didn't really take it to well and got angry." He said.

Scarlet rolled her eyes and decided that now would probably be the best time to approach the rabbit. When she was close enough, she decided to speak up. "So, what was so funny about Apep and myself?"

Apep sighed as she slithered out of the area set aside for the contest and made her way towards Malfoy. What she wasn't expecting was to see him with two other furs and a snake. To be honest, she didn't really know what to say and sat down next to the wolf by basically layering her coils and resting her arms on the top layer. "Well, that was pointless." She muttered. The snake didn't even know why she had signed up and the fact that the lagomorph for a judge laughed at her and Scarlet didn't really help.

The snake then glanced at the two new furs and the snake. "In case any of you are friends of Malfoy, my name is Apep." She said, giving a slight smile.

The sand where we set down is nice, soft on the surface but hard once you did down a little bit, very good for building and this fortress of sand isn't going to build itself you know. Scarlet narrowed her eyes at the rabbit's back and gave a low growl as she went to stand beside Apep. "So, that's her bail out. It makes sense. After all, I'm sure that beauty has to come with some prejudice, doesn't it?." She thought, still trying not to bite to hard on her lower beak. The hawk could feel her wings wanting to extend and take flight, but she wasn't about to leave just yet.

Nero gave a low hiss as he watched the rabbit and was tempted to speak up on the behalf of the hawk and snake, but he knew that now wouldn't be the best time. The snake then glanced at a wolf not to far from him. "It's probably because of the fact that one's a bird and the other is a snake. To other mammals, they probably wouldn't look to attractive. Despite that, they are beautiful among their own respective species. If anything, I would say it's more ignorance than anything."

 

"Sounds about right." Malfoy said looking to the rabbit and rose his lip in anger for a second. "I hate discrimination..."

His anger subsided quickly as Apep made her way over and sat beside him in the sand. "I wouldn't say it was a complete waste of time, I mean you did look great up there and who cares what that rabbit thinks because I'm sure everyone else here thought the same as me." He said in an attempt to cheer Apep up. "Besides I bet that rabbit is just jealous of your natural good looks."

"Huh?" Denise blinked, and looked down to the end of the line to see the hawk confronting the judge, "What's up? Did we do something?"

 

She suddenly lashed her tail and put a scowl on her face. "I swear, if this is because we don't look like we just stepped off a fashion mag cover, someone's got a backhand comin' her way."

Mary blinked and shook her head. The last thing she wanted was her friend to get in trouble over something as small as a contest, ​"Denny, Denny. Please. It's alright. Look, she said that the results will be determined soon, so why don't we just come back when she's ready to announce it, ok?"

Nero gave a slight smile and nodded to what Malfoy had said. "Agreed, though I do believe the hawk is going to... speak with the rabbit." He said, smiling at the thought. He then turned his attention to Apep and nodded. "It's nice to meet you, Apep. My name is Nero. You weren't wasting your time, by the way. That was a very brave thing you did, going up there and standing in front of everyone while being the only reptile up there."

​JR didn't even bother to look at who else who may have been talking. He was just itching to go up to that rabbit and tell her off. But instead, he decided it'd be best for him to just keep calm and not worry about it. It may not have been a contest he was in, but he hated when things weren't fair. ​"Ugh. Either that or she's just plain foolish. I mean, damn, someone from the city like that expecting every girl to have a thin body, huge breasts, and a huge butt. Seriously? I mean let's be real, no one would realistically torture themselves just to try and please the stuck up tightwads that try and make a mountain out of a stupid molehill. It sickens me how some people act, but oh no. Heck no. If she even dares to judge like that I swear I'll file a formal complaint with the city myself."

The snake then gave Malfoy what amounted to a kiss on the cheek and hugged him, which basically meant that she quickly wrapped her coils and arms around him, and while she wanted to return the kindness Nero had given her, she one that it might've made things awkward between the three of them. "Even if I don't win, it was worth it to come here."

​The bunny woman looked up at her. She simply shook her head in response and laughed some more. To her, this was only getting more and more hilarious. ​"Oh nothing dear. Nothing at all. I am merely looking around and judging as I see fit unto those who deserve it."

Malfoy nodded at Apep with a smile before he felt her lips peck his cheek as well as his body was wrapped by the snake's arms and coils. His face turned bright red from the physical contact and his heart pounded in his chest. On the outside he froze and didn't know what to say or do. It was certainly different to be embraced in such a way but he felt comfortable in her embrace even if he wasn't sure what to do.

Scarlet got the underlying message the rabbit was pushing her way and it took all of her willpower not to strike at her with the talons on her hands. "Let me get this straight, Apep and I won't win because of what we are? At least, that's what I'm getting." She said, her eyes narrowed. "You do realize that judging others based on species is against the law, right?" Her voice was deadly serious and at this point, the hawk held as much anger as a wildfire.

 

Nero didn't mind that Apep had hugged Malfoy. It was evident that she had feelings for him, so he was content with being her friend.

The bunny ​looked up at the hawk and laughed. ​"You know I hate it when people make assumptions based on one's presumed actions. You don't even know what you're talking about and yet you dare try to interrupt me while I make my final calculations. Hm. Some furs just don't get it..."

 

JR noticed Malfoy getting a kiss and nearly gagged. He wasn't one for all the lovey-doveyness, and nor was he amused by the fact that he didn't even respond to him. But he did understand that some things outweigh others, and just didn't care to cause a scene. He just silently got up and started to walk away seeing as no one was longer speaking to him. He decided to simply sit on his own, as usual, in the sand, but kept a close eye on the bunny woman. ​"Hm..."

The snake then remembered the dragon she had seen earlier and looked at the wolf next to her. "I'm sorry, but I need to take care of something. It won't take long so I'll be back as soon as possible."

"Welp, enough of this stupid shit." Kronos said as he got up from the audience away from the crowd. He went off back to the beach to contemplate and think. When he got there, he started thinking.

 

Why am I really here? What am I doing? There's many reasons, sure, but is it all worth it? Every woman you try to get in touch with always turns you away or turns out to have a boyfriend of some sort. Why even bother? He started tearing up as he thought even deeper, Even if you have a girlfriend, it's never gonna last long, anyways. The longest relationship you've had lasted, what, three months? And that was just an ARRANGED proposal made by your parents.

 

"Heh," Kronos laughed to himself in disappointment, "Face it, dude, you're never gonna have a serious relationship with anyone. You're just not boyfriend material. The best you can be is friends with girls. Maybe I should just give up and--hmm?" Kronos noticed Blob tugging at his ear and pointed towards Denise and Mary. "Oh my god, dude," he exclaimed out loud to a point where anyone he was able to see was bound to hear him, "There's no point, dude. No one here is interested in me. NO one will ever be interested in me in that way, okay? Don't you get it? All we'll do is do our gig, get paid, and get the hell outta Dodge and never think about this place ever again!!" Blob whined and cowered back into Kronos' instrument case. "Hey, Blob, buddy, I'm sorry. You just suggested that while I was having conflicted thoughts. C'mon, buddy, come on out. You comfort me." Blob timidly crawled out of the case and nuzzled Kronos' chin with a purr. "Good boy." Kronos told Blob as he petted him.

Malfoy finally felt the coils of Apep come off from around him as she was lightly red in the face. He blinked blankly a few times and nodded to the snake flashing a small smile. "Yeah go ahead, you do what you got to do." He said before looking around him. "While you do that I should find J.R. It was nice meeting you Nero." 

 

With that Malfoy walked from the crowds to find J.R. sat in the sand closer to the shore. He approached the cat from behind and cleared his throat slightly. "There you are J." @@J.R.,
