You are right in saying that feet are good for swimming. Some science reason behind it that I can't recite off of the top of my head, though your hooves are nice. It's not a very common thing to find someone who has the same appendages in terms of arms and legs as their animal counter part."

 

'Tsk, I haven't been able to make a move yet. Everyone is keeping a good distance away from the side lines. For good reason I think. Someone will be flamboyant enough to come close eventually. Just give it time.'

"Are we going to get ice cream after this then? Because if so, I'm definitely in!"

 

"Imagine getting it in the door."

"Oh yea. That would also be a problem. You'd have to tilt your head to get it in, but that would pour all the water out."

 

"What, you're a literal rocket scientist?" She smirked, nudging her friend.

"Maybe" I smirked. "I'd say it's not rocket science, but it kinda is."

 

"Right? Where're the goths and the cheerleading team when you need them?"

"Probably in a guys changing room somewhere."

 

She rolled her eyes and messily bit into her taco. "You think I can get one of them in the nuts from behind?"

 

"Not sure. I know I could" I said tapping my horn. "I could stab someone with this."

Scarlet blushed when Blitz's hand made contact with her head and hugged the dragon. "Thanks. I wanted to ask that a bit earlier, but I figured it would've been a bit awkward." She said.

Nero gave a slight slaugh and patted JR on the shoulder. "Believe me, buddy, I've done worse." He said. "I haven't really done much here aside from overhear a conversation and basically slither around, so it looks like we're in the same boat."

Apep felt like her body had gotten a few hundred pounds lighter. The snake then gave a slight smile as she moved a bit closer to the wolf and gently ran a hand through his hair. "Thanks. I don't really talk to others that much either, and to be honest, I've been feeling strange ever since I met you." She said.

Blitz didn't really know how to react when Scarlet hugged him, aside from doing the same to her. Of course, he was careful not to hurt her with his claws, but aside from that, he felt calmer than he had in years. He wasn't going to run anymore from his past or whatever consequences followed. He knew that Apep was still mad at him on the inside so he would have to talk with her about that, but that wasn't something anyone else needed to worry about.

Malfoy smiled as the snakes hand ran through his hair but he then pulled his head from her shoulder to look at her. "Strange? I hope I haven't been making you feel uncomfortable or anything." He then looked to the ground in thought and realized perhaps she was feeling a similar feeling he has been feeling.

Apep shook her head and gave a gentle smile. "No, you haven't. If anything, it's quite the opposite." She said. "I don't really know how to explain it, but I feel like I can relax and not worry about anything when I'm around you." The snake hoped that Malfoy at least had an idea of what she was trying to say, but there was also no guarantee he would feel the same.

"Oh," Malfoy said in realization before timidly looking away from Apep as his cheeks turned red. "I actually feel the same way around you... I feel at ease when you're around, I mean you're really nice and you seem very considerate towards others." He admitted as his tail began to wag as he looked back to her with a large smile. "I'm really glad that I ran into you with that cart."

Apep couldn't really stop her own tail from twitching in excitement and couldn't help but laugh a bit at his last statement. "We'll just chalk that one up as a happy accident, and thanks." She said. "You're funny, kind, and contagiously optimistic." The snake didn't really know what else to say at this point and nervously scratched her scales with a hand. "Do you, want to see where this could go. I understand if you want to be friends or this is moving to fast. I'm not that good at reading others or their emotions, at least when it comes to conversation."

He shook his head to signal yes. "I'm right there with you, I'm terrible at reading others." He admitted timidly before parting his fingers to look at Apep. "I had no idea how you felt and sorry if I was being stupid."

Nero gave a slight shrug and smiled. "Yeah. It's nice to just relax." He said, before sending an icy glare towards those gathered for the volleyball game. "As for the game, I guess it would be ok for them to be drawn to it. We are animals, no matter how much we try to deny our instincts." A slight smirk then spread across the snakes lips as light shifted over his acid green eyes. The tips of his fangs could just barely be seen in his maw as well.

Scarlet smiled as she shifted closer to Blitz. His scales and muscles felt like smooth marble under her feathers. "Thanks, for everything." She whispered. With that, the hawk moved out of the hug and looked at Blitz, a slight smile spread on her beak. "Do you want to get something to eat?"

Ocean's ears twitched as she heard a sudden sound coming from the loudspeakers dotted around the beach. She could see the bunny woman was about to make an announcement, so she shifted her chair so that it faced in her direction. "What's going on?" Savannah mumbled through a mouthful of food.

"Not sure," Ocean replied. "But I think we're gonna find out real soon."

Malfoy blushed once aging as Apep decided to hold his hand, he slightly tightened his grip on her hand before flashing her a timid smile. "Well you did kiss me earlier." He pointed out, his eyes glancing to her lips for a second before looking back to her.

Nero gave a slight nod and smiled. "I think we'll get along just fine, then." He said, before glancing in the direction of the rabbit. He could feel his tail flick slightly in unrest and could tell that something big was about to happen.

Scarlet smiled as she lead the dragon towards a small outdoor café and ordered a salad. The café itself didn't seem that busy, but her attention was drawn towards the rabbit. "What's up with her?" She asked no one in particular.

Blitz sat next to Scarlet and noticed the rabbit as well. He could feel a cold sweat wash over him, but tried not to show it. "You're guess is as good as mine." He said. The dragon then ordered a bit of sushi.

Apep blushed slightly and felt her coils shift slightly under her. "Yeah, but that was more on instinct, and it wasn't even a full on one either. Just a playful little peck on the cheek.' She said.

He then looked back in the direction of the stage for a second before looking back to the snake. "I wonder what she wants now."

It probably would've been easier to just ask you, but I thought that that would've made things more awkward." She said. The snake then glanced at the rabbit and felt a bit on edge.

​The rabbit continued, with a smirk on her face. ​"I hope everyone has enjoyed the summer festival so far.....because it is the last one Amber Crust will have. Everyone here is to leave immediately and there are to be no questions. If any of you....townspeople have a problem with it, you can talk to my corporation and see if they'll listen to you. But for now, everyone is to vacate the beach within the next 10 minutes or you will be cited." ​She pointed a finger to the beach's front parking lot. There, everyone could see cars with the letters "PMC" on the sides. ​"That is all." ​She walked off, still smirking.

​"Oh hell no!" ​JR hissed at the mere idea of the festival being cancelled for some bullcrap like this. No way would he stand for this. Not one bit. ​"It was nice to meet you Nero, but I think I'm gonna go see what the heck is going on." ​He got up, and started walking, hopefully to find answers.

​Mary frowned at the sound of the announcement. She nearly felt like crying that this would be over...forever. ​"..Are you serious? Is she serious? Why...why do they have to do that....that is so mean and inconsiderate of us who enjoyed this festival. And now it's over...."

The wolf stood up from his spot and looked to Apep. "Perhaps we should go so we don't get fined." He suggested holding his hand out to Apep
