What would MLP look like hand drawn?

I'm curious what G4 would be like if it were traditionally animated.

What do you mean by ''traditionally animated''?

Like, completely hand drawn? I dunno what the exact animating process is but the ponies had to be drawn at some point in order to exist, right?

I mean the method that is used with Adventure Time and Steven Universe, i.e. no Flash.

You mean like a flip book?

Well it would look A LOT less smooth.

It would look a LOT more detailed though. This is probably what the movie will look like.

With a flip book? No it would be less detailed. You ever see old Micky Mouse cartoons?

Also I believe the movie will use Go! Animate.

I don't think it would look as good as it does now seeign the budget a tv show has. Now a handdrawn mlp movie that is something completely different, you can have a much bigger budget so it might have disney style animation. Which I wouldn't mind but I think the way mlp is made today is good the way it is.

Depends on what style of traditional. Filmation in the 70's and 80's was as different from Nelvana and DIC shows as SU is from FiM.

While the method and technology can lend itself to several styles, each has many styles to examine.

Wasnt the older Mlp Shows traditional animated?

So i guess, traditional G4 would look a little bit like the older Gens, i guess.

But why make it traditional? You cant really improve on a Style, that is already pretty much as simplistic as possible.

I think, animating this simplistic Styles in a traditional way, would be a waste of money.

You cant really do much, with the drawing Style of G4. At least in my Opinion.

What details are you gonna ad? A lot of Bronys hate change anyway, specially if its gonna get more detailed, because than it would look a little bit more like the older, more detailed Generations and for a lot of Bronys that would be THE HORROR!!!

I dont know why it would be that bad for some People but...i dont know. Guess they really hate the older drawing Styles.

I mean more detailed in the backgrounds, not character designs (although the characters would have more shade to them).

If we're talkin' "Secret of Nimh"-type Hand drawn, then it would look GLORIOUS.

Kind of like that; i.e. Disney/Bluth style.

As in cartoons made without flash. You know, Disney, Studio Ghibli, Looney Tunes?

I dunno probably like Codename Kids Next Door or something.

As for hating change, they'll just hafta suck it up and deal. Every fanbase is like that and every major longtime franchise is subject to changes in aesthetic and story telling.

And I don't like the style of G4 as anyway.
