Guardians of Harmony show.

At this point, most of us have heard about the Guardians of Harmony toy line. But do you think Hasbro will make a cartoon to promote the toy line? Maybe as a sort of Gen 4.5?

I don't if they'll make one, the proper show is doing just fine, and they'll most likely be fine with just making some comics. Honestly I don't know how well a GoH series will do, while the toy-line seems fairly well received, I've seen plenty of fans harp on it for looking too "try hard and edgy"

It's known that IDW will make a comic series of it. Dunno about a show, but apparently, Hasbro filed another patent regarding GoH, but didn't specified what's about

I don't think so myself. They haven't even made a cartoon to promote equestria girls, and that has far more proven money potential.

 

I expect a movie at most. If it works well, they might make a netflix show or something, but I'd just expect movies every year or so.

Seems that whenever we get pony news it comes in a huge wave. Besides all the episode announcements there was a little bit of information that a fan dug up today while looking through Hasbro trademarks. While Guardians of Harmony has been trademarked for use as "Toy ponies and accessories for use therewith" earlier this year, this new trademark is specifically for "Entertainment services, namely, an on-going animated television series for children"

Could be Hasbro just covering all its trademark bases, but as our submitter pointed out Equestria Girls eventually got the same trademark and was turned into an animated series.

So it is in the realm of possibility, but outside of the confirmed pack-in comics, we really don't have much to go off of. :/

I think both comic and chapter book tie ins have been confirmed, but I've heard nothing about a spinoff show. It looks like Celestia and Luna are featured in the toy line, so that could be cool. The fact that one of the toys in the above link is Nightmare Moon intrigues me, and could that be a corrupted Celestia? I'm looking forward to hearing more details, but I'd be cool with a spinoff series starring the two sisters, if that is what Hasbro is going for. Maybe there will be other "guardians", mind you. I doubt this will all translate into s new show but we'll have something to sink our teeth into.

I don't really think that there is actually going to be a Guardians of Harmony show.

At best I expect the toyline to be tied in with the comics and or the 2017 movie.
