For those who downloaded Pokemon Red, Blue (or green), and, Yellow on their 3DS, which pokemon did you use to beat the E4?

 

I had my babus Mew, Eevee, Gyarados, Vileplume, Seadra, and Clefairy. All underleveled, but my faith in them won the battle. So proud of my babus.

Since it was a Yellow, my team consisted of Pikachu, Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Sandslash and Alakazam

Haven't downloaded any of those, but I got them when they first came out back in 98. I just used Blastoise. Ice Beam and Dig covered his weaknesses, and I think I also had Surf and Skull Bash. Of course nowadays I prefer to make teams of six, but back when I was only 8, I didn't know much about teambuilding and just plowed through with an overleveled starter.

I don't remember which pokemon I cleared the game with although my hall of fame pokemon was glitched out after doing the missingno glitch. If I remember, I did clear with Articuno, Venusaur, Mew, Jolteon, and Dragonair.

Ooooh wow, this is nostalgia, yet I can't exactly remember my full team on Pokemon Blue. Honestly, if I recall correctly, I think I just steamrolled the E4 and the Champion with just my Charizard and a bunch of Full Restores. I was not very strategic back then. XD Boy how things change.

I bought Red to support Pokemon VC releases, but I didn't get very far into playing it. I've been too busy lately.

 

As for who I originally beat them with... Yikes. That was like 16 years ago or more. I have no recollection.

The first time ever: pretty much just blastoise. I remember zapdos and articuno being on my team too, but I kind of solo ran it and steamrolled through it with lots of revives and full restores.

 

I haven't gotten to the elite four with the 3ds version yet, but heres likely my finalish team: Charizard, Pidgeot, Mew, Scyther, Rhydon and Lapras. Though I may replace Pidgeot or Rhydon with dear old missingno.
