On a handheld, main series game?

I enjoy Pokemon Colusseum on the Game Cube, and Wes with his motorbike was flippin awesome. Snagging Pokemon was awesome. The Under was awesome. Rogue Cail was awesome. and boss man Samba fan ( I know that's not really his name, but lol) was a trip with all those Ludicolo and dancing!

Think Wes and Team Snagem and Orre will return on a main series Pokemon game?

Thougghts or theories, anyone?

I don't think we are ever going to see the orre region in a handled pokemon game.

It's been over 10 years both Colosseum and XD have been released.  They are no longer relevant anymore, I don't see why they need to appear on a handled console.

so? Its been 20 years since KANTO, yet we got that region again. Even if it was just a rerelease

I'd love to see orre again. Hell, I'd love to see an XD sequel. It was heavily implied in the ending that Ardos wasn't reconciled, it would be interesting to see Eldes and him on opposing sides.

But yeah, I loved the series just because of how much it broke the mold in terms of the plot. No gym badges, it was a proper story. It might not have had as broad of a selection of Pokemon as the main games, but those games offered a really unique selection. Sadly I doubt they'll be bringing them back, it was pretty surprising at the time they were doing something as unique and ambitious as that let alone now.

wonder how we can convince GameFreak to go back to Orre on the main series. Should be a second region, like they did in HGSS

Never played XD, but i hear it was horrible compared to Colluseum

Dunno about that, but I can tell you that XD was more lighthearted than Colosseum, but still delivered in gameplay and the fantastic music

What about the battles? In the main games, you can just go all starter run and you're likely to solo with it most of the game, plus the legendary in turn you pretty much won the game  :D . These GCN games however, it was suicide to use the same tactic, as there's no way to reliably grind them to the point to solo stuff, plus, the constant difficulty curves and the games use on double battles weren't for show, it was rare for opponent trainers to NOT use strategies to take you down. And that's NOT counting that you had to be careful to snag shadow pokemons, as they were sometimes fake difficulty themselves (specially since you had to "Gotta catch 'em all if you wanted Ho-Oh back then  :orly:) .

I don't expect Orre to ever come back, but I really enjoyed those games, not only for the deviation to the usual formula, but because the game offered an actual challenge and forced you to fight fire with fire, in other words: strategy. Plus the whole shadow pokemon snag, which offered an extra challenge, the story, AND the soundtrack was FANFUCKINGTASTIC  :o . Just listen to this:

And there's more where that came from  :orly:

Lol, yeah, the double battles awesome too. I managed to do a "solo run" by only leveling my umbreon and espeon back in Colosseum, but I couldn't do that in XD. Towards the end when you're facing trainers with upwards of 3 shadow pokemon in one battle, they took real strategy and a proper team to handle.

From what I heard though, the 100 Mt battle challenge to get Ho-oh was more brutal than actually catching all the shadow pokemon. I was going to try going for it myself a few months ago until I remembered how much the AI likes to cheat in those modes.

Well, I thought that XD was more merciful with the Shadow Pokemon issue, as Miror B (the so called Samba fan by Nightmare Muffin  :dash: ), WILL snag any defeated Shadow Pokemon for you to battle him and make any attempts necessary to snag it. The only downside is that if you only rely on that, it would take you a while to get them all, as he only uses ONE shadow pokemon per battle, AND you had to wait a while between battles for him to show up again, and THAT assuming you don't DERP :muffins: and fail to snag that pokemon again  :dash: . Other than that, your laziness was the only potential impediment to get them all, but it was not mandatory to get Lugia unlike Ho-Oh in Colosseum, just 9 sets of 4 pokemons making an elemental rock-paper-scissors circle .

Oh yeah, the battle mode MT Battle in Colosseum was BRUTAL, EVEN WITH MY TEAM OF HIGH LEVELED BLAZIKEN, GROUDON AND RAYQUAZA  . The game don't allow you to get a Ho-Oh if you clear it with GBA pokemon, but you can abuse a loophole by trading those GBA pokes directly to Colosseum, but you had to finish the main story first (then again, who would even attempt to MT Battle before that anyway  :twi: ?). The final 10 trainers were specially nasty, with the penultimate having A FREAKING KYOGRE
