New Server Plans and Goals

So, with the new server going up and the old world getting wiped, what is everyone planning on doing?

 

I'll probably first find a far-off nice place to have my house placed, and then make a basement and start working on gathering supplies, fill out the house with furniture and equipment, and then start on a easy-harvest garden system and start hoarding food.

 

Then, I'll take a few stacks of food and start working on (re)hoarding everything else (diamonds, different stones, lupis, emeralds, alchemy supplies, etc).

 

Then, I'm going to make a massive build that will show off everything I've hoarded.

 

???

 

Profit.

 

What's everyone else planning on doing?

Depending on whether I can snag some space in the spawn chunks or not will determine what my plans are.  If I can grab some spawn chunks then my first goal is to set up a new base.  If I can't, then my first goal is finding a spot for my 1.8 survival home.

have your castle on top of a hill and when you reach the edge drop straight down to a lower level where water can be pouring out from a stream.

I guess I should clarify.  Will there be room to build within 200 blocks of the spawn point?

 

If so, my plans change drastically on what my first steps will be.

I will just join a town to build a giant castle (that should keep me busy enough for some months). :3

I will be looking for an ocean for my dome, collect some resources plus expanding my base after that, creating a underwater forest (not of tree's), build some mushroom caves for aesthetics and probably more to come.

I plan to horde resources and aim for a really nice town. I have some blueprints and everything. Other than that, just exploring and building.

so i heard we would be able to keep a claim but we would lose all valuables and our inventory

is this true? . in the meantime assuming if that is true .. 1 re light my bunker .. its all light with prismarine lamps . 2 mine to replace everything i lost 3 keep it hidden and re build my underwater city i gave up

Apparantly new plan on the build port over, since underwater builds won't be ported I've built myself an airship for that purpose.

Nice a part of my build goes a little bit under sea level I guess I will have to clear out the water.

Small update on future plans.

 

I were planning to build the lighthouse from Rapture (Bioshock) but decied to make something different instead.

After following a tutorial in Blender I've made this:

What's left now is clothing and skinning it so it'll be ready for recreation on the new map.
