ManaMinori 4,145 May 27, 2016 #1 Share May 27, 2016 How much effort do you put into it? I have never cosplayed, but I adore Sunset Shimmer. I don't have the money for real and exensive cosplay, but I have found some cool pieces that work for her outfits, like her blue top with the transparent yellow piece at the bottom. (Two seperate garments ). And a magenta top from her old outfit (but short orange skirts that fit are ridiculously hard to find) at Goodwill. Cosplay? Yay or neight? How much effort? 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
GeekySonic 1,150 May 27, 2016 #2 Share May 27, 2016 I have previously thrown together cosplays of MLP characters. We're dirt poor, so I used whatever I had. Naturally, they were pretty shabby. But I made costumes of Snips, Snails, Big Mac, Spike, and Calamity (Fallout Equestria). None of them really took a lot of effort. Check out my voice-acting demo reels on Casting Call Club, if you'd like.
M'gann M'orzz 745 May 28, 2016 #3 Share May 28, 2016 I want to, I have plans for a Detective Rarity cosplay, I bought a wig and some other stuff for it last year but then I realized Trenchcoats are pretty expensive and I couldn't find a red one easily anyway. Fhaolan 4,483 May 28, 2016 #7 Share May 28, 2016 Yep. A friend sent me a picture of me at BABSCon as Starswirl the Bearded. I know there were a lot of other pictures taken, but I haven't found them on the internet yet. It took a bit of effort. I hadn't made a hat before, so it got a little ridiculous with experimenting with materials. I do costuming as a hobby though, so I had lots of stuff to work with. The cloak was annoying to make as I wanted it to have the scalloping and applique stars and moons. The workroom I do most of the costuming in was being taken over by another project so I didn't quite have the work surface for something that size. I also had exchangeable patches on the hips for cutie-marks, so I could use the same pants for multiple costumes.
Savy 5,077 April 8, 2022 #8 Share April 8, 2022 I cosplay MLP characters sometimes. I've seen a lot of AMAZING cosplays at conventions. I've tried to cosplay Rainbow Dash, and I'm very possibly gonna cosplay Pipp. Cause I can.

dead account 2,710 April 9, 2022 #11 Share April 9, 2022 I'm not a pony cosplayer, no. I was cosplaying Link in the past and it was fun. That's pretty much all I did in this regard.
