Would you consider Rarity pushy and judgmental?

So I have been showing a friend some MLP episodes, and due to Rarity being my fav Pony I have also shown her pretty much every Rarity-centric episode. The most recent one being "Art of the Dress". I asked her what she thought about Rarity and...she did not exactly have nice things to say. She said "She's a B! She's very rude and judgmental!". And in AotD she specifically commented on how when Twilight brought in her dress it was bad for Rarity to try to force Twilight to get a new dress instead of just fixing the old one.

My original impression was similar and very unfavorable. She is not the most accessible character.

Part of the Rarity's system of flaws is a slightly judgmental look on the world. You see this full bore in the Nightmare Moon alternate reality where she is overtly racist. Contrast that with the more restrained normal version. Every once in a while she opens her mouth to insert her hoof. It is one of the more complex elements of her.

A big part of Rarity is using aesthetic improvements to bring out the inward beauty in a person. As much as we try and argue otherwise, when we think we look good ... we will feel good about ourselves ... irrespective of your own self esteem.

As far as Suited for Success is concerned, she can be impressed as pushy from her strict worldview and even stricter standards.

But judgmental? Not in this episode. Others like Boast Busters and Bridle Gossip paint her in a far more judgmental light.

Pushy and judgmental? Pushy, maybe, if she needs to get down to business and whip lesser ponies into shape. Judgmental? Well, she can't help being better than anypony else; it just comes naturally. She really should get special credit for tolerating less stylish, less talented, less perfect ponies and still being generous to a fault.  :proud:

Pushy and judgmental are necessary traits for the business she's in; pushy to make a convincing sale, judgmental to maintain a high standard of quality. Thankfully, she doesn't have these traits in excess, which allows her to be more approachable and generous outside of the business world. They're still character flaws of hers, but they don't ruin her ability to function in real life, as opposed to a character like Trixie, who can't drop her stage persona to the detriment of her functioning in everyday life as in the ending of "No Second Prances".

It may seem so when you look ato the initial premise of her character and the Base where she was created upon and it is big part of her character tough when you take deeper look into her character you can actually see that there is lot more to her character than that. She can seem pushy or judgemental but when you take her character into consideration while observing these traits you can see that they aren't so strong that they may seem like
