Amberpaw couldn't help but bounce a little. She smiled a little. Maybe being an apprentice was going to be fun. Maybe she would enjoy hunting for the Clan. Maybe her new mentor, Owlheart was not so bad after all. 'I'm sort of excited I guess.' She thought. 'Well, maybe a lot excited.'

 

Owlheart swayed his tail softly as he looked at Amberpaw. She was certainly energetic, and he could see the determination in her eyes.

 

 

"He isn't done yet, it seems he was on adventure for a while again."

 

"Hm," he snorted, almost with amusement, "he and Willowpaw are too curious for their own good. But I suppose it's better they get it out of them sooner than later."

Thunderclan camp, midday.

"Border patrol?" Amberpaw said aloud. She flushed and looked at the ground again, slightly embarrassed. "Of course, Kitestar." She mumbled. "Are we going now?" Amberpaw felt the air ruffle her pelt. She looked up, waiting for Kitestar to reply. She was surprised she was so eager to go on patrol. 'My first patrol!' She thought to herself.'I can't believe it!'

"You will be heading out quite soon, yes. As soon as everyone else who will be a part of the part of the patrol is prepared, you will all be scanning and remarking Thunderclan's borders," Kitestar informed Amberpaw. "You will all attempt to meet up with the Windclan patrol during this, and quiz them as to what was happening for them to attack Riverclan... I have a sneaking suspicion that I already know the answer, however. I might accompany you all, actually."

 

"It's not your...." Darkpaw tried but Willowpaw were already going, he looked after her but then turned towards medicine cat's den, he had to get mouse bile to get rid of the mites, so he grabbed the little tuft of the moss that was still close by and went to get bile.

The Thunderclan leader watched patiently as Darkpaw still tended to the elders, now heading to Moonshine's den.

"Thank you, Kitestar," Amberpaw lowered a head as if to make a gesture. Amberpaw tilted her head said, "Er...may I go and get ready?" She flushed. "Not that there's much to get ready for." She scraped the dirt with her paw, waiting. Her stomach was grumbling but she didn't mind. She could go hunting later. Right now, her priority was to patrol Thunderclan's border.

Rye woke up from his nap, looking about his surroundings lazily. Where was he, again...?

 

Oh yeah. Riverclan territory.

 

Or was it Thunderclan's? He didn't know--all he did know right now, was that these rocks were absolutely perfect for basking in the sun. He rolled about, on the Sunning Rocks. 

 

"...Something tells me consequence for trespassing is approaching faster then I can weasel out..." He murmured to himself, licking a paw. "...Ah, oh well."

"Thank you, Kitestar," Amberpaw lowered a head as if to make a gesture. Amberpaw tilted her head said, "Er...may I go and get ready?" She flushed. "Not that there's much to get ready for." "Of course you can prepare yourself for your first outing," Kitestar said to the apprentice. "It can need some forethought when exploring the territory for the first time - especially with Windclan being the way they are with not only Riverclan, but most of the clans right now."

 

Windclan camp, midday.

@@P-Jay, Featherfur roamed Windclan's territory with his apprentice by his side, wondering if everyone injured back at the camp was doing alright. and keeping his head held high, nose alert for any antagonistic scents, glancing over at Riverclan's ground every now and again.

Slumberfur agreed amused "Although, can we really blame them, it's not like we never left the camp for an adventure." 

 

 

 

 

Riverclan camp

Flameheart didn't get to rest for a long time when her leader ordered her up, she was told to make sure that Windclan had actually left their territory, being only one in good enough shape who had nothing to do, she couldn't refuse doing it. She walked out of the camp yawning and headed towards Windclan's side of their territory.

Amberpaw nodded at Kitestar. "Okay, thank you Kitestar." Amberpaw politely backed away and rushed to the apprentices' den.

She was pacing back and forth in her den a few minutes later, lots of things in her mind, waiting for Owlheart to call her for border patrol.

Featherfur roamed Windclan's territory with his apprentice by his side, wondering if everyone injured back at the camp was doing alright. and keeping his head held high, nose alert for any antagonistic scents, glancing over at Riverclan's ground every now and again.

 

Mousepaw prowled alongside her mentor, keeping a watchful eye over their territory, noting how her mentor would occasionally stare at Riverclan. So she opted to mimic, snarking at the border every once in a while, as if she expected to see a badger whenever she did indeed steal a glance. 

 

"Featherfur...I see someone!" She hissed, watching a vague cat from the Riverclan territory casually making his way directly towards Windclan. A white-silver tom, with black spots on his pelt, was waltzing towards the two.

Slumberfur agreed amused "Although, can we really blame them, it's not like we never left the camp for an adventure."

 

Owlheart's ears lowered slightly at his memories as an apprentice. "I suppose not... though, I cannot say my leaving a camp was for adventure."

 

 

Amberpaw nodded at Kitestar. "Okay, thank you Kitestar." Amberpaw politely backed away and rushed to the apprentices' den.

He awaited his apprentice patiently, before deciding to pad over to the den to collect her.

"Amberpaw," he called quietly, "are you ready yet? We'll leave as soon as you join us."

​Flameheart was relieved when she didn't wind any Windclan cats in their territory and was heading back but she stopped. She wanted to know if Windclan warrior was telling the truth, if someone in Riverclan were actually trespassing. She went to the new border of Windclan territory and started investigating the smells around the area, making sure she herself didn't cross the border.

 

 

 

 

Owlheart's ears lowered slightly at his memories as an apprentice. "I suppose not... though, I cannot say my leaving a camp was for adventure."

He awaited his apprentice patiently, before deciding to pad over to the den to collect her. "Amberpaw," he called quietly, "are you ready yet? We'll leave as soon as you join us."

 

Amberpaw lifted her head at the sound of her mentor. "Oh--yes I was just um..." her voice trailed off, too embarrassed to add, "...waiting for you to collect me." She walked slowly toward Owlheart and said, "Yup, ready Owlheart." She walked out of the den and slowly stretched.

Darkpaw arrived back to elders' den, he noticed that Willowpaw hadn't come back yet and after looking around he entered the den with bad smelling moss in his mouth.

Owlheart nodded, and padded toward Slumberfur and Kitestar. "No need to be nervous, it's just a regular border patrol. Tomorrow I'll show you around the territory and we'll get to work on your hunting."

 

He stood in front of his leader, waiting for the signal to begin the patrol. Too many cats may set off the WindClan patrol, he thought.

Darkpaw arrived back to elders' den, he noticed that Willowpaw hadn't come back yet and after looking around he entered the den with bad smelling moss in his mouth.

Willowpaw had gotten distracted by a butterfly while she was on her way to get the moss. it had flown by and she had chased it untill it was out of her reach. then she remembered that she was getting moss for the elders. she grabbed it and raced back to the elders den where darkpaw had already arrived. "Sorry that I'm so late, but there was a butterfly!" she explained like it was the most logical reason you could ever have to be late.

When he started, he heard someone addressing him and Willowpaw, it was copper-colored tom, his name was Fallfire and he was one of the youngest of elders "Don't pay attention to them, they are always grumpy" "So, how do you two come along with your mentors?"

Featherfur instantly adopted a defensive stance when Mousepaw noticed a cat slinking towards the patrol. He narrowed his eyes glanced at the apprentice for a split second, then raised his tail in a hostile manner towards the mystery cat.

"Who are you?" he hissed. "And what are you doing in Windclan territory? We've had enough trouble for today!"

Kitestar turned to Slumberfur and nodded to confirm that the patrol would head out now. She glanced from cat to cat, seeing that plenty would be joining the patrol. Then, she debated whether to go herself, but concluded that it would probably be best for to stay at the camp in case there was any trouble with that rogue again. Kitestar turned to Slumberfur and nodded to confirm that the patrol would head out now. She glanced from cat to cat, seeing that plenty would be joining the patrol. Then, she debated whether to go herself, but concluded that it would probably be best for to stay at the camp in case there was any trouble with that rogue again. She hoped that she wasn't sending out too many cats... 

 

Owlheard nodded back at Kitestar, understanding that he would be leading the patrol. He padded out into the territory, expecting Slumberfur and Amberpaw to follow.

 

ThunderClan Territory

 

He led the small patrol of cats through the forested territory, the gentle wind brushing his fur and the sun glimmering through the leaves.

"We'll show you how to mark the borders," he murmured to his apprentice, "you'll be expected to do it on patrols, as well as keep an eye for other Clan cats in case they attempt a sneak attack."

Amberpaw paused for a few moments, thinking. Then, slowly she started to follow Owlheart out the territory. She looked forward and her eyes gleamed as she thought, 'My first border patrol!'. She picked up her pace, quickening as she thought about the border patrol.

Flameheart was too focused to her doings to notice cats at Windclan's territory. She moved close by the border trying to catch any scents other than Windclan, and soon she did. Smell of Riverclan entered her mouth, it was mixed with the Windclan's scent so she couldn't make up how many Riverclan cats there had been and who they were but it proved that there was Riverclan cat, or cats who had trespassed to Windclan's new territory.

 

 

 

 

Owlheard nodded back at Kitestar, understanding that he would be leading the patrol. He padded out into the territory, expecting Slumberfur and Amberpaw to follow.

 

Slumberfur followed Owlheart out of the camp, Amberpaw's enthusiasm made him think about Darkpaw and how exited he was when they first went for hunting.

I don't see poppyfur that much because she's often busy but I don't mind it since I like doing my own things." she said and then she looked at darkpaw to see what he would say, though she suspected he would be rather positive about slumberfur, they seemed to be getting along quite well.

ThunderClan Territory

 

Owlheart led the small patrol toward the WindClan border, keeping his eyes and ears open for any suspicious activity. WindClan cats were fast, but ThunderClan was wary.

 

"Okay, watch closely," he instructed Amberpaw, then padded up to a tree to rub his paws against it, "mark our Clan's scent on the borders, like this."

"He promised to leave right after he got some rest but he was brought to the camp, and ended up becoming part of the clan." "But he never told really anything where he had came from, only that he used to be kittypet and that his twolegs won't miss him, not even his name." "And he doesn't like it when he is pushed about it too much, it makes him annoyed and even aggressive."

"Slumberfur had a life before the clan?!" willowpaw said suprised "We have to find out what that life was like! I met a kittypet yesterday and the twoleg places sound so interesting!" she exclaimed enthausiasticly, but then realised that this wasn't the normal thing for clan cats to say "But... don't tell anyone that I think so, I just want to find out for research perposes only ofcourse, I love the clan and I would never betray them, but I'm just curious to how other cats live." she quickly explained since she didn't want anyone to question her loyalty towards the clan.
