Think we all need to start rping, when everyone has time to make a post, it should be responded to by whoever is next online and it should follow up from there

Great! In that case I'd like to pull out the old reliable Rhetoric Rash to the fray if thats ok, and while I'm on my way  to read the rp could I have a brief synopsis as to whats going on?

There was an attack recently by the E.A.A.E.F. on the alicorns whom won. All the alicorns are together, except one left and there is infighting between two others.

Uh, Copper didn't absorb the blast, he took it head on, getting blasted out of the cottage.  Also, Copper flew back in there to punch Twilight, so the effort would send her flying at a much greater distance.

Ruby Splash you silly goose, you can only absorb enough life energy to gain what is lost, not pushing your power limit higher. And copper is extremely resistant to it, the other alicorns boasting minor resistance and Summer boasting none.

Uh, Copper didn't absorb the blast, he took it head on, getting blasted out of the cottage.  Also, Copper flew back in there to punch Twilight, so the effort would send her flying at a much greater distance.

 

Yeah you cant take a death blast head on, otherwise you might just, i don't know. die. (resistance towards it, might slow down the process, but you would still eventually die, since i'm just draining your life force at a slower rate)

 

you could put a shield up and then get blasted away though. So i will let it roll ^^

I used a large amount of magical power though my death blast, she almost fainted from magical over-use.  she also damaged her wing in the fight and had to use the life fore around her to regain her used magic and repaired her wing

 

she has gained no additional power, just replenished it to a level she had before the fight started. She will also be able to continue doing this until the following conditions are met.

 

A. She depletes all nearby life sources (unlikely since the whole area is a forest that thrived under Miss Reaper for many years)

 

B. you knock her out so she cannot use the magic (again hard since she can just protect herself with a shield)

 

C. You stop her from accessing this magic by breaking her horn/ covering her horn up (probably the easiest way)

I know what you meant, just saying something else that wasn't entirely correct in that sentence. You know... Controlling a life form even if it is something made of darkness or chaos is kind of a stretch in terms of Chaos/Death powers don't you say?

Okay. Dm back, time for power check. I put in place a code of balance that would make sure there was always one that could counteract the other.

1. The vines are a possibility. Magic comes in forms appropriate to it's users wishes.

2. Absorbing life I will grant Summer, not twilight, because twilight destroys life, and therefore cannot directly manipulate it in other ways.

3. Unsure about how she set up that trap, but I will allow the trap to exist and be set off, but as a warning there must always be a way to sense a trap, no matter how minuscule (such as a horn glow or small tendrils coming out of the trap's placement), and I will leave it up to good role-playing and the players own insight to find out what that sign is and if their character avoids it.

4. The vines will have little to no affect on Copper, and your shield, Twilight, is almost completely ineffective towards the beam he had fired.

5. Last but not least, and this is for all of you so pay attention, fighting the alicorn that you are weak to can only end up in the weaker one's victory not by alicorn means. You must use that which was not granted upon your character by becoming an alicorn, such as cunning, brute physical strength, intelligence or unaligned arcana if you have any hope of defeating such an alicorn, and even then, your percentage for victory is still leagues below the opposition's. Given that Twilight has only been relying on her alicorn magic to face down Copper, we can clearly deduce that there is no chance whatsoever that she will win.

 

Ruby, please note these limitations, you have been so good so far, please don't disappoint me. We must all accept the circle of balance. Please note, that while you are the death elemental you can't just zap somepony once and be able to just kill them if they are an alicorn. Summer maybe if you did a great power charge, but any alicorn else no, and Copper no way in hell. That said, if you wish to go along with your plot, you might have to recruit some to your cause.

I hope I cleared up any confusion and disputes.

I seem to be at a dis-advantage, since i cant just used my death magic to normally attack other Alicorns and kill them, otherwise that would be rather Gmoding,

I don't think Copper Strikes will kill her, and she never expected to lose, so that could push her to do out of character things.
