Now, I don't mean a giant cliffhanger where the ending is Twilight is pinned by Tirek or anything, or Discord suddenly turns chaotic again. But more subtle, like a shadow peeping at them, or the villain disappears (idk) Then, in the movie, they could add a WTF IS THE VILLAIN IN THE BACKGROUND moment. Get it? It will also depend on what exactly Hasbro is trying to do with the movie; do they want it to continue directly from the series like an extended episode, or do they want it to be a standalone story that the viewer can understand without already being familiar with the show? Personally, I don't want a cliffhanger. The one in Magical Mystery Cure didn't really affect me because I was introduced to the series more than a year later. But, this would be different. I don't think I can wait from several months to a year just to see what happens. I'm already stuck with the cliffhanger from the last Star Wars film, so I don't need another one.
