McFlurry's Heartfelt Scrapbook: build-up a big role for the new princess?

So, many if not all of us have seen the Heartfelt Scrapbook promos either at DF, ED or whatever site you see pony news. Many of us love them for reminding us of the good old promos of the Hub right?

 

 

But I wonder: This diabeetus inducing bio-weapon was supposed to be a one-time character, despite her important status as the first alicorn-born in Equestria, and to promote a new Crystal Empire toyline. But then why these promos about Pinks teaching her many things about ponies? Is it mean McFlurry could have an important role someday within the show ? 

 

 Sure, she'll probably have a key role this season finale, but I have a feeling these promos foreshadow something bigger for her, like taking the mantle of MANE character in a future season with a timeskip, or a sequel show with her coming of age

Eh, I don't think she's going to be taking the place of a mane character anytime soon.

 

I expect they'll figure out that she's the alicorn of "XXXX" in the finale and super important to the world based on that animatic, but I doubt we'll be ditching the mane six anytime soon. They just sell too well.

The only way I'd see them doing a time skip would be if they were going to move the mane six into a spin off of their own after the movie or something like guardians of harmony as a full series.

I don't really think Flurry Heart is going to be really all that important to the world yet, but it would nice if these scrapbooks did foreshadow the finale in some way.
