Where do the sun & moon go after being lowered?

what do yall reckon is on the other side of their planet.. i believe it to be flat earth supported by the tree map thing being as it is and not a sphere, it would make seance if the sun and moon had to be raised right? that they would go to a place where nopony lived when not it use? :/

I'm just going to go with the whole "Earth is round" thing for as far as Equestria's planetary design. Where do the sun and moon go? I've got two doritos for that, either:

A: They disappear to the other side of the world like Earth does

or

B: They're hidden by Cadence's astronomical responsibility of Uranus

Not enough information, tbh. We don't know enough about the world to tell if it is round or flat to start with.

I have a feeling that the sun and moon aren't physical objects in the same way they are in our universe, but rather magical fields that produce day and night. When they're "raised" and "lowered", they're actually being magically released or absorbed by the princesses. If they were physical objects, Twilight probably would have destroyed the world when she was moving the sun and moon erratically. Also, that would explain how NMM was contained--the EOH sealed her in her own magical field, which Celestia absorbed in turn.

A mud puddle, like Islam says. Since MLP world is both flat and the sun and moon are really small and rotate around the world instead of the other way around.

The world the ponies live on is a sphere far as it appears in this semi-montage. So the sun and moon would go to the other side of the world which I'm guessing is mostly just a mass of ocean or some continent not shown in the show yet.

I stopped trying to head canon the Sun and Moon in MLP. There are far too many logical inconsistencies and straight up contradictions too see their solar system as anything more than a glaring plot hole.

Far as I'm concern if Celestia is not moving the moon the whole time and it's stationary until it becomes time for her to move it how is there wind and water waves? The gravity doesn't seem to apply in this world the same way it does in our world apparently.

we have never seen waves tho :/ even in glimpses of manehattan there where no waves, the water was completely still (its laziness of the animators but it does tie in with the theory)
