Will they use the "alternate timeline" trope due to Starlight's meddling?

Yes it's a children's show but even in many children's shows but doesn't seem too farfetched. I feel like there will be something that may have changed from Twilight and Starlight meddling with time.

It's been a full season already, and there's been no hints that anything is amiss, so I kind of doubt it.

 

 It's still possible though, and I think that could be pretty cool. Maybe for season 7 if we get it, or maybe something that could be covered in the comics.

That would be nice. And maybe it'll be an excuse to see Nightmare Moon again.

Twilight might blame Starlight for it, though. Granted she wouldn't be completely unjustified. Starlight DID meddle with time and space.

I don't really want to see anymore of that to be honest.

I kind of just want to forget about the unfathomable amount of pain and suffering that Starlight could have gave to every single pony in all of Equestria, in her attempt to ruin the mane 6's lives.

There's a chance they could get better. Although in the Wasteland's case, it would take a miracle. Besides, I'd like to see the villains rub in the fact that it was Starlight who allowed them to get so far in their timelines. Granted, I think meeting face to face with Sombra would terrify her... cue Twilight jumping in to rescue her.

Given how long it's been I don't think they will, but of course there's always the possibility. If so, they might delve into the question of whether it's worth it to go back to fix the timeline. If the timeline they're currently in is not the real one, would Twilight want to go back to that one considering how well everything's going in this one? Would she view that as her moral obligation, or simply allow the altered timeline to go on since it turned out well? Is it up to her to decide such a thing?

 

All in all, though, I think the current timeline is the real one. After all, the Rainboom happened as planned, meaning everyone got their Cutie Marks on time and events would have played out the same way they did before, regardless of whether or not Twilight and Starlight were hanging around the race at the time.

And yet there are still at least a handful of fans who still draw Twilight in her 'Future Twilight' design from It's About Time.

Or maybe War Dash showing up to the heroes aid, granted, it would be dark, seeing as she's missing a wing, not that they'll actually show how she lost it. A kid's show has to have its standards.
