music Underrated bands/artists you listen to

Underrated is to a degree subjective. But I am new to these bands, I am kinda bummed I never got into them earlier. 

 

Rilo Kiley is amazing, I knew they broke up several years ago. But either way I am happy Jenny Lewis decided to go her own route and her solo albums are also enjoyable. I rarely buy music, but I did buy her Voyage album and wasn't disappointed. 

 

I just got into Between the buried and me, need to listen to more, but after their Colors album I am hooked. 

 

I have changed my attitude on overrated bands as well. 

 

AC/DC is objectively an overrated band, but their music has grown on me this year for some reason. I love songs that might not be as popular as Back in Black or Highway to Hell. Songs like Dirty Deeds, High Voltage, Giving the dog a bone and Razor's Edge are heavily underrated in their discography in my opinion. 

 

I went through an anti-disturbed phase a few years back. Their newest song The Sound of Silence(I know the cover was done before) is  a risk considering their Nu Metal... But for the song itself, it isn't bad. I still prefer the days of The Sickness, Believe, Ten Thousand Fist, Indestructible and Asylum though. 

 

 

EDIT: I have been listening to Disturbed and AC/DC since 7th grade, lol I should have mentioned that, they're not new to me.
