What happened to Flutter Valley?

In "My Little Pony the movie", it's serene and filled with flowers as far as the eye can see, but in "The End of Flutter Valley", which is a 10 part episodic sequel to the movie, Flutter Valley is devoid of flowers and covered in rocks, and a stone monument for the Sun Stone.

What happened to the lush, green and blossoming valley? The only thing that I can think of is the flowers that Queen Bumble said she needed to have imported were stolen from the Flutterponies.

 

But what do you guys think?

It's probably still out there in Ponyland somewhere.

I assume it still would be. But I was asking what happened to it as far as it's dramatic visual transformation from one movie to the next.

It could have been taken over by a group of either ponies or creatures just as humans do the area may have been destroyed and the field just ripped up to make space and some flowers that were important may have been taken to re plant and sell so the land may have just become one big profit.

Or the land itself may have just changed over time so a rock slide could have happened, storms etc the earth is naturally always changing so it would not be uncommon if the world there also went through the same changes.
