They don't need an intro sequence like in EG

I know they look pretty and all but there's no need for one when you have a much longer ending credits sequence that you can make just as pretty. All they need to do is show the Lionsgate/Hasbro logo and then the film logo somewhere and then move on with the story.

I can't think of any movies that don't have an intro sequence, they're a lot like TV shows, which almost always comes with, and there's usually no real good reason to get rid of them

I'm sure they'll have some kind of sequence complete with either a new remix of the MLP theme or a brand new song. I know that title sequences do take away precious time that could be used to further explain story element, but you can't not have them around as they are an important element now in an animated movie. Besides, such sequences let you know who is starring in the movie, and the song could be either catchy or memorable.

I don't see the problem in the movie having an intro sequence.

Big time animated films like Disney Movies have them, and there's nothing wrong with them doing it.

This isn't EqG, this is Friendship is Magic and it finally will be getting a fully theatrical movie and I want them to celebrate that fact. Give us an awesome intro, go beyond what they did with EqG. If they do that I will be happy.

90% of movies don't have a song intro sequence with credits. James Bond and Mission Impossible are the exception. It's a waste of budget and run time.

I love awesome intro, it create the atmosphere, the theme, tone, Alladin by Disney for example, the intro is freaking awesome, it created the mysterious, dark atmosphere, set the theme for the whole movie. Intros arent waste of time, if your story has poor screentime management, even more 30 minutes screentime wont help anyway, 1 minute intro doesnt hurt. Even a mediocre horror movie like No Vacancy has badass intro soundtrack composed by Paul Haslinger :3, why cant FIM, the series has song addicted problems :3, love it.

True. They don't need a flashy EQG intro (I have to admit, the first EQG intro's dubstep remix of the MLP intro was pretty awesome, but it was cringy nonetheless). They could just use the My Little Pony show intro and adapt it to fit the movie. They could make it like a normal MLP episode... but longer. True, they could make the intro longer by a little bit but that wouldn't affect my overall view on the movie...... right?

Well most movies based off cartoons do use remixes based off the shows they're spun off from. What makes MLP so different? I'd LOVE to hear an orchestral version of the MLP theme, or a catchy pop song like EG did. And EG's intro wasn't too bad, it was kinda catchy! It would be cool if they would save that intro for the movies but hey.

I like them and think they're great fun to watch. It's like a little hype machine, building your excitement for the movie. Like the Bond films, or StarWars, or more recently the Marvel films. Deadpool also had a very nice sort of intro scene. 

 

It's all just fluff. Beautiful, wonderful fluff. And I wouldn't change a thing about it.
