ManaMinori 4,149 March 15, 2017 Share March 15, 2017 So many times we have seen the same old song and dance with the mane 6, and now SG and her ragtag team of misfits saving Ponyville. While re-reading the Nightmare Rarity arc in the comics, I really liked how all of Ponyville got to help fight back the Nightmare forces. Granted, the rename 5 cinched the win, but I really want to see a case in an episode where Ponyville - and not just the fan favorite ponies- (maybe the town can be rallied by the mane 6's parents) can come together to save all of the mane 6 when the chips are down. What do you guys think? 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
Megas 28,146 March 15, 2017 Share March 15, 2017 Having the mane 6 job/DID for fucking BG ponies sounds even worse than TWABA

Rick Sanchez 76 March 15, 2017 Share March 15, 2017 well, i personally think it would be a nice change to the formula that usual episodes do it would prove to be pretty exciting to see how these ponies do on their own nothing i say here is serious. ManaMinori 4,149 March 16, 2017 Author Share March 16, 2017 well, i personally think it would be a nice change to the formula that usual episodes do it would prove to be pretty exciting to see how these ponies do on their own and it could definitely make them appreciate the mane 6 more, seeing how tough they have it, saving THEM every other week. 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,202 March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 Entirely depends on how they go about it. The threat would have to be well established to prevent a situation like To Where and Back Again, where nothing about the kidnapping of those characters made any sense. Perhaps also have the episode be about unity. Have the town ponies being hardheaded about who should be in charge to lead a rescue and chaos ensues, but in the end they realize they should all lead together. If handled right, I would enjoy it. That is a big IF though. Redeem me into childhood. Show me myself without a shell.
ManaMinori 4,149 March 16, 2017 Author Share March 16, 2017 That sounds kinda boring if you ask me.so seeing a showcase of each townsponies individual talents being used creatively, which we've NEVER seen before is boring to you? Ok, then we could keep having Twilight centered, and OP unicorn Starlight boss battles. Those aren't boring (or overdone) at all. BlueStreak98 828 March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 I'm not sure what the scenario would have to be for this to work right, but I think it's a great idea. What do you guys think? There is a good story here NM. I remember many of the positive comments regarding The Cutie Map had to do with the fact that the Our Town ponies helped win the day. I have always wanted an episode where the supporting cast has to prevent a natural disaster without the Mane Six there to help, so yeah I could be down for Ponyville citizens saving the day. Mesme Rize 15,692 March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 We call main characters main characters for a reason, because they are the stars of the show. Background characters who barely have any charactirizations (fanons and headcanons don't count) makes it hard to appreciate or to route for them, because the general audience considers the background characters as bland. The audience wants the main characters to succeed, because they are the once we see in every episode and that they have a connection with. 2 My OC Mesme Rize: >https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/mesme-rize-r8777 Thank you Randimaxis for this Wonderful Avatar. Steve Piranha 29,496 March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 If you ask me, it could work if it's an scenario where the Mane6 attempt to save the day, as always. But midway, they get captured, and the bad guy gloats and boast about his victory to the citizens in order to take away their hope. But instead it just pisses them off and they attack instead Sig by Discords
Malcontent 196 March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 Yeah I could see that. I recall a Powerpuff girl episode similar to that. It worked. It'd a one trick pony though. We call main characters main characters for a reason, because they are the stars of the show. Background characters who barely have any charactirizations (fanons and headcanons don't count) makes it hard to appreciate or to route for them, because the general audience considers the background characters as bland. The audience wants the main characters to succeed, because they are the once we see in every episode and that they have a connection with. I'd argue against that. We were able to characterize the poor victims of Starlight and accept them after two episodes as 3 dimensional characters. Given we wouldn't use everyone it would be easy to make it work in 22 minutes or less since we've had more time to get to know the bg ponies. Superheroes & Equestria Girls? Sounds fun to me! cmarston1 5,964 March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 We already had something like that happen during the season 5 premiere. I don't think we need it to happen again. Also the town did help fight the tantibus in Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep, so we've already had other ponies helping out the mane six.
