Has season 7 been inconsistent with previous seasons?

It might be the fault of new writers, but has the continuity been a tad off? For example, in A Royal Problem, Celestia says that raising the moon is easier than raising the sun, as if it's the first time she did it. But didn't she probably do it in Luna's place for the 1000 years Luna was banished?

This just comes off as Celestia wanting to prove Luna wrong, wanting to believe Luna's job is easier(Luna does the same thing with Celestia's duties)

Only continuity issue I've found so far(and this is really just comes off as the writers making things needlessly complicated) is the issue with Rainbow Blaze who we originally thought was RD's dad. Despite Bow Hothoof having the same coat, rainbow mane, and eye color makes it look like he's a redesign, but the writers still insist they're separate characters, and they won't elaborate on who he really is

If you're talking about the stallion that filly Rainbow Dash stood on in a flashback of Games Pony Play as Rainbow Blaze, I personally see him as an older cousin to Rainbow Dash. I myself have a cousin who's at least 10 years older than me.

i took it more like, that celestia just mentions it easier to raise compared to the sun,( its a semi 4th wall break I guess?  mentioning to the viewer?  ) I mean we wouldn't know if the moon was or was not easier to raise than the sun.

its the fans' own fault for coming to that conclusion on their own. The card RB was on  clearly said "dashing mentor"

.By all logic, he could be a  mentor who could've been any one of the following: her father, brother, cousin, Uncle, whatever.

But it's the fans' fault for jumping to conclusions, and assuming that he HAD to be her father, in their desperate attempt to headcanon  parents for her

As far as I know it, I do agree there hasn't been much new stuff so far this season.

• Rock Solid Friendship was the first time we saw Starlight but not Twilight.
• Forever Filly had Rarity being the only Mane Six pony in an episode, so now only Pinkie and Fluttershy remain. Of course, it had to happen because Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo didn't spend much time with Rarity and Rainbow Dash, respectively, in Seasons 5 or 6.
• A Royal Problem had Starlight being called by the Cutie Map herself, alone.

For the entire whole series so far:

• Twilight and/or Rarity was always seen in all of Spike's appearances.
• Twilight and/or Pinkie Pie was always seen in all of Fluttershy's appearances (especially Viva Las Pegasus, if you count the very beginning of that episode).

So as long as there's not much new stuff throughout a season, it probably won't be as good as past seasons.

Well, Celestial Advice felt like it was focusing on Twilight, that's for sure. In my opinion, The Crystalling and To Where and Back Again make it look like you're watching a comletely different show.
