What do Twilight's Parent's do for a living?

I'm fairly certain they do not go into what they do in the show proper, but is there supplementary material (comics, books, ect) which alludes to what they do for a living? They are clearly somewhat affluent and have pretty deep connections with the Equestrian government. They had a princess as a babysitter for crying out loud. I've checked the wikis and things like that but those turned up pretty dry. If there is no real answer, then what do you think they do?

I think the comics had Twilight's mom be a writer, but I could be wrong, that's all that is known about their occupations.

I remember Shining Armour had a flashback that revealed Twilight's mom is an author.

Maybe Twilight's father, Night Light is a part of S.M.I.L.E. Where he works as a secret agent for the agency.

I imagien Velvet is involved with the writing, publishing, editing, retail or rental of books. Explains how Twi got into them so hard. And going out on a limb, perhaps Night Light is a retired guard. Explains why Shining wanted to join the service and how the family met with Cadence. 

Of course this doesn't count the comics as cannon or not.

I've been sitting here for a few minutes trying to come up with a funny, wise answer, but I got nothing.

  Can't quite remember where I heard it from, I think the mobile game, that Night Light, Twilight's father, is  a book binder. In the vocation of fixing old books and that does seem more then apparent that somepony like that would catch on the idea of books being important to their child. Her mother however I think has even less to her as I'm pretty sure she was just meant to be a place to put the original design Faust wanted for her main character. Always gotten a vaguely mentoring idea from her. Maybe her mother is a minor teacher so she know's Celestia a bit more then your average pony, at least enough to be taking her kid in for a magic test like Twily got.

I always thought they were writers or librarians. That seems like a decent thought.
