Could the MLP Movie characters show up in season 8?

What do you think the chances are that the mlp movie characters and locations show up in season 8?

Movie Characters beside the mane 6 are voiced by famous people and Hasbro need a lot of money to hire them so dont get too much hope. Locations are possible because S8 is the sequel of the movie, you will see Seaponies in S8.

Excluding Emily Blunt, most of the cast are not that expensive for one-off guest appearances and even Blunt is debatable. Both Tay Diggs and Kristen Chenoweth particularly have guest stared on multiple TV shows so it isn't outside the realm of possibility for Capper or Skystar to pop in at least once. 

Daniel Ingram actually hinted at having a musical guest star for Season 8, and both have Broadway connections. 

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the film is the last we heard of all the new characters.

I doubt we'll be seeing them anytime soon. If anything it'll be like Sunset Shimmer from "Equestria Girls" and the Enterprise-E from the Star Trek movies. While they'll make references to the series and the like, the series will not make references to them.

Of course that may not be the case here, but I'm not gonna be expecting anything.

There is something that REALLY puzzles me thought: we got a confirmation that seaponies are gonna appear in S8, but... how they will be integrated in the series? I have the feeling they are not gonna be the same Hippogriffs turned into Seaponies we saw in the Movie, but PURE Seaponies.

Probably an episode surrounding the characters being on a boat or at a coastal town.

Characters are possible too, really - while their voice actors may be too expensive to hire often, that doesn't mean they can't have non-speaking parts, and/or have cutscenes as a "letter home" from characters who then voiceover the scene rather than having the characters speak themselves.

Yep. We have already seen this happen once this season with Grand Pear showing up but not voiced.

And that's a good thing. One of the bad things about GlimGlam in S6 was that it was as if she didn't exist unless the episode was about her; now in S7 they seem to have taken that criticism on board and you get to see her being present, even if she is just a background pony - helping Twi with the water in Flutters' new sanctuary for example, without a speaking part, and as you say, Grand Pear (père? ) in Mane Thing. Still doesn't explain why Spike is AWOL so often though

Not only will they most likely not appear, I doubt they will even be referenced in the slightest. If they ever were, the only ones with a decent probability are Tempest and Storm King I feel.

It's possible, I suppose, but I don't think Hasbro would want to run the risk of alienating viewers who might be unable to see the movie.

Movie comes out in October. Season 8 is likely not going to air until six months after that. I don't think that's a problem Hasbro is considering.

With the news about Silver Stream being in Season 8 we know that Seaquestria citizens are absolutely going to be on the show, so a Skystar or Novo reference is highly likely.

I can see the Storm King being name dropped a few times, like "well what about when the Storm King did X" kinda like when they mentioned Sombra in the Crystalling

As for hearing or seeing these ponies again? I doubt it, Capper will probably go back to his home, the pirates will depart Equestria, the seaponies will stay where they live far away from Equestria, and I get the feeling Tempest may lead the Storm people back to their home and turn them into a nice kingdom, which means she won't stay in Equestria either.

Tempest could show up if the mane 6 visit that town. That would be fun to see.

I think all of the new characters could potentially show up and even be regulars if Hasbro casts alternative voice actors who won't be so expensive. Though a one-off appearance with the original voice isn't outside the realm of possibility. I feel like Tempest in particular could potentially play a major role. If she is reformed (which I'm assuming is the case) then we would probably to see her interact with Starlight at some point. That's a very common scenario, a la Discord, Trixie, Sunset Shimmer, etc. Is it overdone? I think so. But if the character is well-received then I feel like putting her in Starlight's group of former villains is likely.

Though now that I think about it, Tempest could also be Twilight's student from afar if she goes back to the Storm kingdom. Like Sunset, she would send her mentor letters about how she's trying to teach others what she has learned. Maybe have an episode in which Twilight and one other pony are called to the Storm kingdom to help out.

I don't know about the recurring character part. It looks like the press image in front of that new building for Season 8 had elements of young members of various species like the Yaks and Changelings. I suspect that Silver Stream would fit into that type of a theme. 

Then there is the ability to just recast characters for bit roles. That certainly isn't without precedent in animation, and certainly not with this particular company. Guarantee you that if Tempest sells well in merch, they will find a way to keep that character relevant with or without Emily Blunt. Also intriguing is that the voice she chose is not very distinctive. Easy to recast that.
