Spike could use an episode WITHOUT Twilight (or even the M6)

There are certain episodes on the show where Twilight had starring episodes without Spike, starting in season 6, but so far, every Spike episode had Twilight in it. Spike could use himself a starring role episode without Twilight appearing at all whatsoever! As of late, his appearances with the Mane Six have become more uncommon, so perhaps maybe if he had some episodes without Twilight appearing AT ALL, or better yet, without any of the Mane Six! Or maybe just him and one Mane Six, him with the CMCs, a Guys' Night, him with Starlight, or him visiting the Dragon Lands, Changeling Kingdom, or somewhere else by himself. After seeing that the CMCs have had their own episodes without the Mane Six appearing in seasons 6 and 7, and Starlight having her own episode without the Mane Six in season 7, it would be nice if this happened.

Since he's been absent in alot of Mane Six episodes lately with exception of the finale and movie, it would be only fair if he had more episodes for himself outside of the Mane Six, and even Twilight in particular! Twilight does alot without him, so let's see it happen the other way around!

To me Spike feels like a character that is built quite heavily on his relationships with mane 6 and outside of that I don't think there really is much to deal with for me anyway he could use a episode like that to make him more less dependent on the m6 but as I see the show I don't really see a reason there would be an episode without the m6 but still spike and it wouldn't feel out of place

That's fine if you think that!  But he's made alot of friendships outside of the M6 that could use some more exploring, but at the same time, there are some friendship developments he needs with four of the Mane Six which he could use! We pretty much know his relationship with Twilight and Rarity already so let's see how it goes with the rest!

I think if spike were to get his own episode, he should go to the dragon lands and have some kind of an adventure with Ember. I think of all the possibilities, this would be the most realistic plot for an episode featuring only Spike as a main character with Ember being a supporting character for the episode.

Season 6, episode 17, "Dungeons & Discords." I mean, Twilight technically appears, but only at the very start and very end.

I feel like a lot of the main characters could use a ‘solo’ episode. Rainbow with the Wonderbolts, Rarity with Coco and maybe Sassy, Twilight with the Princesses, Spike with the Dragons, each of the elements with their pillar, etc. There’s still plenty to story pairings to be done outside the main six.

I mean he hardly does anything with the rest of the mane 6 apart from Rarity and Twilight who he seems superglued to, so it really shouldn't be so hard. Though personally I'd still rather see how he does with the other Mane 6. I mean, he had an episode with AJ which I thought was nice, and I'd love to see how he'd do when paired up with RD as they're pretty good together as small as those appearances were

I was going to say the same thing. 

 

Anyway @MegaSean45, I'm definitely open to additional episodes with Spike and the extended cast, particularly with Ember.

I want an episode where Ember teaches Spike about dragon culture.

Or an episode where their friendship is tested when Spike disagrees with a ruling by Ember.

Well, maybe not without ANY of the Mane Six. Fluttershy could go with him to the Dragon Lands to befriend Ember, or better, reform all the dragons who live there.

P.S. Pinkie and Fluttershy are also the last two ponies who still need an episode without all the other ponies.
