I too had make change from windows because of the lots of negative things like that @Key Sharkz described, but I moved to Lubuntu. Since I use my machine to rendering animations, it's a really downside, that wibugs needs that amount or RAM, and also surprisingly, Blender renders faster like in windows. The other reason was that I own a raspberry pi, and raspbian is based on debian, soo it's good to have a "uniform" system everywhere. Remember, the final, and ultimate order to solve any problem is: " sudo rm -rf /* " Just kidding... I installed Arch Linux last week and after installing it I eventually deleted it because I didn't feel like manually typing in new repositories into the mirror list. Screw that.
