ManaMinori 4,149 April 9, 2018 Share April 9, 2018 Ever since Equestria Girls toys have come out, I feel like people ave been complaining about the length of the legs...and especially Principal Celestia's. While I feel it may have been a valid complaint back in the day, I honestly can say that I'm proud that Hasbro didn't reuse and re-purpose their toys, like they did with re-purposing Starlily the Unicorn from their FurReal Friends IP into the "My Little Pony The Movie: My Magical Princess Twilight Sparkle. Had Hasbro chosen to reuse an old IP base for their Celestia EG toys, I suspect it could've been a repurposed "Leggy" doll, which was from 1972- 73. which are reminiscent of the "Hi Glamm" dolls. http://www.toyboxphilosopher.com/2012/09/higlamm-pam-doll-discontinued-by-mga.html So yeah, I'm super glad Hasbro didn't go that route with Principal Celestia, because those legs are horrifying, and absolute nightmare fuel. 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
The Recherche 29,983 April 9, 2018 Share April 9, 2018 (edited) Quote That's slightly terrifying... Anyways, I'll be honest; I never had too much of a problem with the leg length of the EQG characters. Yes, they kinda exaggerated, but exaggerated features are used on about pretty much every animated character, really. Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,202 April 9, 2018 Share April 9, 2018 The 'oh so perfect' bodies in EQG bother me more than the legs ever could. Redeem me into childhood. Show me myself without a shell.
Castle Bleck 19,455 April 9, 2018 Share April 9, 2018 The only thing that bothers me about Principal Celestia is her lipstick. Just throws her whole face off. 1 By @Emerald Heart.↑
cmarston1 5,964 April 10, 2018 Share April 10, 2018 (edited) Meh, I have more a problem with some of the character designs in FiM than I do than the ones in EQG. (Also their legs never really bothered me all that much to be honest.) For instance just look at Princess Cadence and Fleur De Lis and try to tell me with a straight face that they look healthy and not all creepily thin. I mean people have loved to give EQG slack for their character designs be too thin, but I haven't really seen many if anyone at all criticize these two from FiM for being guilty of the same thing. In fact I would even go as far as to say that Dean Cadence from EQG has a better design than Princess Cadence, if only due to not looking like she starves herself.
