Oliver kept his head down during the flight, responding to Jenna to let her know he was okay. He worried a little as they got closer to the trees, not wanting to get hit by them.

"I'm fine," he assured her. "Do you need a rest?"

"No, flying is lot easier than you think, in fact, if I was to go high enough, I would be able to rest while flying." Jenna responded "But we'll see what happens, I may land if I spot a good hunting spot, don't be afraid to tell me if you need a break before that though."

What Jenna said made Oliver wonder. "How do you rest while flying?" he asked. "Don't you still need to use your wings?"

He nodded at her next point. "I'm okay for now, you can keep going as long as you need to."

"It's simple really." Jenna responded "Like this." she then flew a bit higher before just opening her wings and gliding "This doesn't really take any energy, all I'm doing is holding my wings open." "Sure we are declining, but if done high enough, there would be enough time to take a nap." she flew back down closer to the trees "Of course it's not the same as a taking a nap on the ground, but it's good enough for emergencies." "It's like a plane without engines, it won't stay up forever, but if you go downwards in a right angle, you can glide quite far."

Oliver watched as Jenna glided through the sky. It made plenty of sense with how little energy she was using, but he didn't like the idea of her flying out of control.

"I just hope you've never crashed doing that," he said.

"I haven't." Jenna simply stated "We predators sleep one eye open so to speak, or in other word, we are very easy to wake up, so if I'm napping while flying, I will wake up long before the ground." "Besides, we are quite durable, so little crash wouldn't do much."

"Well, just in case," Oliver insisted, petting the side of Jenna's neck, "Maybe it'd be safer if you made a landing somewhere safe before you took a nap."

He smiled at her. "I don't want you to get hurt or anything."

Jenna didn't react to the petting, as she simply couldn't feel it through her scales "Don't worry, I will, but not because of myself, I just don't want to crush you by accident." she turned her head towards Oliver and gave what could be assumed to be a smile, dragon's face was lot less expressive than human's, so her facial expressions were limited to her eyes and showing different amounts of teeth.

Oliver caught the look Jenna was trying to give her, and smiled back. "Yeah, I'd rather not get crushed, accident or not."

He pet her neck again, this time so she could see it with her head turned to him.

Jenna just kept 'smiling' before turning her head back forwards "Why is it that humans like to pet everything?" she asked, not having anything else to talk about "I mean, I know you could also ask why every creature seems to like to be petted, but where does it come from? Is it a emotion? reflex? conscious decision? I personally just have picked it up as a habit, but how is it for humans, since it seems to be something you all do?"

"I'm not sure," Oliver said, gently patting Jenna on the neck. "I think it comes from animals licking each other to show affection. I think we just sorta took it on and decided to use our hands for it instead."

Jenna raised his front leg under his chin thoughtfully "I guess, though I have always considered kissing to be humans version of that..." "...but it may be you're not far of, because when I think back to when you have 'petted' me, it has usually been to comfort me, and it has in fact, comforted me, so it could be tied to animals licking their offspring to comfort them." "It may be the both are true...I'm sure some human somewhere has done study on it."

"Yeah, probably," Oliver agreed, gently patting Jenna as she kept flying. "I'm just glad it did comfort you." He smiled down at her.

He looked around, wondering how long the flight would take, especially in this weather.

Jenna flew forwards quietly, there was forest in every direction, and there didn't seem to be anything of interest anywhere, and even though the weather was clear, Jenna didn't seem to be flying any faster than before. After some time Jenna seemed to spot something that Oliver wouldn't be able to see and started to lowering towards the ground "I'm hungry" she simply said before finally landing. The landing itself was surprisingly smooth, Jenna did hit one or two branches on the way down, but they just snapped and Jenna didn't seem to even notice them.

Oliver waited for Jenna to land before sliding off her back to the ground. He looked up at her, still in awe of how she looked in her natural form.

"You look amazing," he said, putting a hand on her scales.

"I know." Jenna said pridefully before stretching her wings and folding them to her sides. She then lowered her head closer to Oliver "How are you feeling?" she wanted to make sure Oliver was fine before going for a hunt.

Oliver watched as Jenna spread her wings, in awe of how huge and impressive they were. He was certainly believing what he was seeing.

"I'm fine," he said, gently petting her head. "What about you?"

"I'm fine, I just sensed a good meal." Jenna said "Which brings me to, what do you want to eat? Will you eat your part supplies or would you want to try dragon-fire cooked meat?" "And don't say you're not hungry, we'll have a long flight in front of us, so you need to take care of yourself."

Oliver looked down and thought. He could have had some of the canned food they'd brought, but Jenna's offer was rather tempting.

"Well, I've never had dragon-roasted meat before," he said, smiling at her.

"Meat it is then, wait here and gather some wood, I'll be right back." Jenna said before heading deeper into the forest, she was making surprisingly little noise while moving considering her size.
After 10 minutes or so Jenna came back flying and was carrying something in her legs, and when she dropped it near Oliver, he would be able to tell it was a deer. Jenna landed next to the dead deer and folded her wings "Is there any specific piece you prefer?"

Oliver watched Jenna skulk into the trees, impressed at how silent she was for such a large dragon. He watched as she returned with a deer, dumping it in front of him almost like a cat presenting a caught bird.

"Um, not really," he said, not too sure what to think. "I'm not picky."

Jenna thought for a moment "Leg it is then, it has the least amount of things that you may find disgusting." she then dug a small hole and put bunch of wood in it, before lighting it to fire with her breath. Though the fire looked normal, Oliver would most likely be able to tell that it burned lot hotter than fire of that size usually did. Jenna then proceeded to rip off the deer's leg and put it above the fire using tree branches she found nearby. "I'm sure you know how to cook meat, so I won't teach you on that, but keep in mind that dragon fire is lot hotter than normal fire, and that it's capable of burning pretty much anything."

"Thanks," Oliver said, watching the fire and the meat intently. "I'll keep that in mind."

He glanced up at Jenna, her huge scaly face looming down on him. He smiled up at her. "You were right; this form is a lot more impressive."

"Did you really doubt it even for a moment?" Jenna asked slightly humorously while moving between Oliver and the deer in a way that Oliver wouldn't be able see the carcass when she would eat it, she didn't want to ruin Oliver's appetite after all, though if he for some reason really wanted to see a deer being eaten, Jenna wouldn't stop him from walking around her to look. She looked towards Oliver until the deer leg was ready and started eating when Oliver did, if Oliver tried to offer piece of the leg to Jenna at any point, she would refuse the offer and say something along the lines of, 'cooking meat is human thing.'.

"You prefer it raw, huh?" Oliver said, upon Jenna rejecting his offer to share his part of the meat with him. He bit into it, smiling. "Your fire really makes a difference, it tastes great."

He kept looking up at her body, taking in just how majestic it looked.
