Dynamo frowned as a thought had come to mind, but he shook his head, before nodding wholeheartedly. "Granted, I might have to work from time to time at the arcade. I know my boss wants to keep the shop up and running, but I think he'd understand. Plus, I know I want to go on this journey together with you, Scar. You know that I wouldn't disagree with you or leave you behind." He chuckled and nodded in agreement. "You can say that again. You and I always went on adventures together when we were younger. You were more of the leader, while I was second in command, or something like that. We always couldn't succeed without the help of one another. It's why you and I make a really great team together." He says, nodding as he was looking forward to being able to be back home. "I concur, but, in a way, I would have to disagree. It's always nice to see our mom's and to spend time with Chocolate and Milkshake. It's a bit different as you just got back recently. So, it's been a while since you've been back to our old homes. It's why it's understandable that you miss that lovable duo so much. The moment we get home, those two will be tackling us into a great big hug." He chuckled as he could only imagine the reaction of their pets.

Gentle giggled as she felt the boop upon her nose. "Sure, you were, hon." She rolled her eyes playfully with a smirk. She then gave Devin a wave, before she went back upstairs to finish getting ready for the day.

Scarlet would nod, "I honestly wouldn't have it any other way Dynamo" she would say, taking a side road in order to take a short cut, "and it is lovely to be back home, I love my aunts and their pets, but I've missed home so much" she would say and then giggle "Yes, those two adorable mountains off fluff will tackle us and want all the loving" she'd chuckle along with him "We also did promise our moms that we'd text or call when were half way"

Devin would smile and hug her, then wave and went back to her house to prepare for the day, returning about an hour later with her laptop.

Dynamo smiled happily with a nod. "That's all I can ever ask for, Scarlet." He says, the female rabbit taking a side road that lead to a short cut. "You can say that again. It's nice to live in other places around Equestria, but nothing can ever top one's own original hometown." He couldn't help in chuckling along with his girlfriend's remark. "Chocolate will mostly be tackling. Milkshake either rubs her face in your leg, before meowing to ask if you can pick her up. We just need to prepare for when they are about to tackle us. If not, then we are going to get launched out of the house, before even setting foot into the home." He chuckled once more, before nodding at the reminder. "I guess we're about halfway from home, huh? I'll send a message to mom and Miss Devin in a group message. That way one can answer if the other is unavailable. Are you feeling hungry, sweetheart? Did you want to stop somewhere and get something to eat?" He asks, grabbing his phone out of his pocket, before he began to write out a message for their moms.

"Hey, mom and Miss Devin. We just wanted to let you know that Scarlet and I are about halfway home from our trip. We should be home in a little while. We love and miss you both and hope to see you soon." He read through the message to make sure it sounded okay, before sending the message.

As Devin was finished getting ready, she exited the house and made sure to lock the door. She then went to her spare car she kept in the driveway, before placing the duffle bag in the back seat. She started up the car and made her way into town towards her dance studio. As an hour had gone by, she had arrived in class and had been helping her students with her different styles of dancing.

Scarlet would smile and nod as she listened to Dynamo speaking and giggle "Nope, they say home is where the heart is, and I guess my heart's always been in Ponyville" she would say "And considering that you're there, then it makes sense" she'd giggle "And honestly, when Milkshake nudges and purrs like that, it is the most adorable thing ever, wouldn't you say?" she'd ask, waiting for his response after he had sent the message to their mothers.

Devin got the message and smiled, texting him back "hello dear, your mother is at work now, but I'll let her know you're half way home, see you two soon" she'd text before calling Gentle up.

"I know exactly how you feel. After everything that had happened, I always felt like moving could have been an option. Maybe move to Las Pegasus and start anew, but I guess I just couldn't. No matter what may have happened or what will happen. Ponyville will always be my true home. The same can be said as it makes perfect sense. Considering that you're finally back and here to stay." Dynamo responded, looking over to Scarlet's gaze with a smile. "Milkshake is always so adorable. I never knew why she would nudge someone in the leg, but I guess it was her way of saying she wanted to be held. I guess its' better than biting someone to gain their attention." He says with a chuckle.

The blue unicorn's ears perked as he heard his phone began to ring. He looked to see that he had gained another message from Devin. After reading it through, he smiled and began to make his reply. "Okay and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that my mom is at work. It is getting late into the morning and work is always important.  We'll let you know when we're about to arrive at the house. Thanks for letting us know. See you both soon." He sent the message and turned his attention back towards the female rabbit. "The message was from your mom. She just wanted to say that my mom is at work, but said that we'll see them soon." Meanwhile, as Gentle was teaching her class, she had just finished up teaching her class a new dance routine. She was about to say something to her students, but stopped as she heard her phone began to ring. "Okay, class. Everyone take five." She made her way over to her duffle bag to see who was calling her. She smiled as the caller ID was from Devin. Without hesitation, she picked up and began to talk to her girlfriend. "Hey, Dev. How are you doing? I hope everything is okay."

Scarlet nods "Mom raised her to be like that, to show affection in gentle ways" she would say, "She barely ever scratches or bites, even when she is annoyed, I remember one time when I was still a little kit, I would accidentally pull on her tail or paw, and she would just mew softly." she would say, in remembrance of the times before the split.

Devin smiles "Hey Gentle honey, just letting you know our kids are half way home now"

Dynamo smiled with a chuckle and a nod. "Remind me to tell your mom I said thanks. Milkshake was always such a sweetheart, but I think it's nice to know that your mom helped Milkshake out. I'd be worried if something were to happen to you. I think my mom once told me that a cat biting someone is their way of giving love bites. Although, I don't know if such a phrase like that exists and/or makes any sort of sense." He says, wincing slightly at Scarlet's remark. "I know that it was an accident if one were to pull on Milkshake's paw or tail, but I'd be worried. Especially if you close a door and their tail got in the way of the door closing. I always make sure Chocolate and Milkshake are in my line of sight, before I ever close a door or leave the room."

Gentle smiled as she began to read the message, before grinning at the mention of the kids being halfway home. "Excellent! I'm just about finished up with morning dance classes. So, I'll be home in just a little bit. See you soon, hon." After sending the message to Devin, she placed her phone back into the duffle bag. She turned to face her students so that she could gain their attention. "Okay, class. That's enough dance practice for today. Just make sure to keep up with the practice and try and get the rhythm down. I'll see you all tomorrow. Have a nice rest of the day." She waved to her class as they all began getting ready and leaving the dance studio. Gentle made sure to wait until every last student had left the studio, before exiting the studio and locking the door. She then proceeded to her car in preparation to go back home to see Devin and the kids.

She nods, "Oh yes she does do love nibbles" she would giggle "She was doing that quite a lot the night before we left for Manehatten" she'd laugh "I guess she missed me that much, and I agree, it is always a worry that I might accidentally shut a paw or tail in a door" she would say and then smile "It was the same for Chocolate when she was a puppy, your mom did a great job raising him"

Devin smiles "Excellent, see you soon then hon" she'd say before hanging up and resuming her work.

Dynamo gave Scarlet a look of surprise, before chuckling along with the female rabbit. "I'm surprised to hear that, but I always thought nibbles and/or love bites were a bad thing. At least, that's what my mom and dad alway told me. I guess it's a form of affection for a cat." He says, nodding in understanding. "I guess that was her way of saying that she'd miss you. Along with showing how much Milkshake cared for you, before moving to Manehattan. I'm glad that you are not only reunited with me, but you're also reunited with your mom, my mom and the pets too." He responded with a smile. "Thank you and my mom did a great job. There were times that he had trouble when going outside to the bathroom. My mom would flip out if he went to the bathroom in the house, but we managed to help train him to not do that. He would also nibble, but only if you didn't have shoes on in the house. I guess he wanted to bite anything that was moving on the floor." He chuckled, shaking his head at the memories. "We also had to make sure that Chocolate didn't start sitting on the couch, until he was older. Not only to make it a habit due to how he got bigger from a puppy to a giant dog, but also so he wouldn't chew the couch up. All in all, Chocolate and Milkshake have grown up to still be such adorable pets."

After making it to her car, Gentle looked to her phone to see the message that Devin had sent her. After reading through the message with a smile, she placed her duffle bag in the backseat, before closing the passenger door. She entered the driver's seat, placed the keys in the ignition and started up the car. Once she made sure that nobody was driving past her, she back out of her parking space, left the parking lot and made her way back towards her home.

Scarlet would smile and nod, parking at the bakery "Alright, lets pick up some treats, and bring some home for our mom's" she'd say, getting out to stretch her arms and legs. "And you are right, but what we need to do is to differentiate between a love bite or nibble and a real bite, say whenever the little pussy cat is angry or annoyed"

As they stopped and parked near the bakery, Dynamo had nodded as he stepped out of the car, before stretching his arms and legs. "That sounds good to me, sweetheart. I can't say no to passing up on some treats and/or desserts. Do you think we should message our moms to see if they want anything? If not, then we could always see if there's an option for a bag of random, assorted treats. Sort of like the bags you see at conventions that are all sealed up, but they have different prizes in each bag." He says, walking over to her and taking her paw into his hand. "That's true when you put it that way." He would say with a nod. "I guess we could always keep an eye on Milkshake, while taking notes of whenever she gives a love bite, or a real bite. I agree that maybe a real bite occurs whenever Milkshake is angry or annoyed. You can tell by the look in her eyes. Usually, the eyes are the gateway towards the soul. If she's angry, then it looks like she has a sort of annoyed expression. Other times, Milkshake's eyes turn to curiosity and/or one of happiness when she is being petted."

Scarlet would nod "that is true, though due to her docile demeanor, she usually adores being petted" she'd say "But I do think making note of what annoys her and such, is a good idea" she would say and then think for a moment "Well unless things have changed, I'm sure my mom still likes pretty much the same baked treats that I like, buut..if we can get a box of random goodies for them both, they'd love that" she would say, holding his hand, her little tail wiggling happily.

"You can say that again, Scar." Dynamo would say with a nod. "Milkshake even likes it when you scratch her chin or scratch behind her ears." He smiles as he was glad to hear that the female rabbit had agreed to the idea. "I'm glad you liked the idea. We usually always took notes and mental notes when trying to discuss random phenomena's, or anything else when we were younger. It actually helped me into making guides on how to play against certain players for tournaments. Mostly to catch certain habits some player's would be acting during a match." He says, thinking for a moment, before nodding in agreement. "I think the same thing can be said for my mom, but it's mostly for different flavored treats. Maybe we can throw some of their favorites alongside in the box of goodies." He responded, taking hold her hand as they made their way towards the front door of the bakery.

Scarlet would nod, "alright two random boxes with some of their favorites, sounds good to me" she'd say, going with him into the bakery to make their orders and get their lunches "And I'm glad our little fun when we were kids helped you" she would say "I'd be lying if I said I didn't use those tactics with my cases"

"Now the only question is if the boxes truly are random. Considering this is Pinkie and Cheese we are talking about." Dynamo chuckled, but nodded with a smile. "So, that's two random boxes of treats. I can imagine that would be one box for us and one box for them. I like the sound of that plan." He says, walking into the bakery with Scarlet, while placing their orders for lunch and dessert. "I'm glad you were able to use those tactics we made to help you out in your cases." He responded. "I can imagine we used a lot of different plans and ideas that we learned from one another. I guess even when we were separated, the two of us had been helping each other out. Even if and when we didn't realize it. Especially if we were able to help make one other to feel strong and to stay strong." He would say, giving her paw a reassuring squeeze.

Scarlet laughs "Uhm dear, this is Pinkie and Cheese we're talking about, of course the boxes will be truly random" she would say, walking into the bakery. She'd look to Dynamo before going up to the counter "Two surprise boxes please, oh and a box of our favorites, and one of our mother's favorites" she says before leaning to whisper to Cheese "It's basically the same as ours" she giggles

Dynamo rolled his eyes playfully at the female rabbit and chuckled. "Yeah, you're right. What was I thinking. Pinkie and Cheese are known to be the most random ponies in Ponyville. Hmm...perhaps they are the most random of random ponies in all of Equestria." He smiled, following Scarlet as the two walked into the bakery. As Dynamo looked around and waited patiently, he looked to Scarlet, who was going over towards the counter. "Two surprise boxes of desserts. Okay! We shall have them assorted and handed over to you both in just a few minutes." Cheese responded, sporting a grin and a nod as he heard Scarlet whispering to him. His only response was a wink and a thumbs up as he learned of the extra detail. "By the way, how was the trip out there to Manehattan? Did you both get to visit anything cool in town?" He asks, making his way towards Pinkie and helping her in setting up the mystery boxes of sugary treats.

Scarlet would sigh and shake her head "Nothing terribly interesting" she would say "We stopped by my aunts' place and my old office, I'm retired now" she'd say to Cheese and lean back a little against a wall "All in all, it was pretty uneventful" she'd smile "Which is just what I was hoping for" she'd then look to Dynamo "Dynamo did get my aunts though, even though he had met one of them when we were little"

"Scar's right on that. Unless you want to count the fact that we were lucky to escape any and all forms of traffic." Dynamo chuckled as Cheese winced slightly. "Traffic is simply the worst in any form of travel. I've traveled all of Equestria, but I never seemed to have gone through any traffic. I know Pinkie did once when having to head to Yakyakistan. Apparently she now considers sheep as her mortal enemy." He chuckled with a shrug of his shoulders. "Hey, hon? Should we tell Pinkie and Cheese about the whole business thing? I know you mentioned that you're retired, but I still wasn't sure if the plan you said was still in theory." He says, meeting Scarlet's gaze and nods. "It's been so long since I last seen Scarlet's aunts. I kind of forgot as I was still young, but her aunts did look very familiar. Even so, it was really nice to see them once again." He says, Cheese grinning at the discussion being talked about. "That's awesome, you guys. I know you said you had to go collect your stuff at your old work, but I think it's always good to visit family. During family holidays, Pinkie, Cupcake and I usually go to the rock farm and visit Pinkie's family. I admit that it was a little worrying at first as I had to get used to meeting all of her family. However, after some time, it felt like I was already a part of the family."

Scarlet would smile "Well see Dynamo, you have always been seen as part of my family, even before my...before my dad disappeared" she would say, somewhat hesitantly "and especially after, you and your mom have always been seen as family" she would say, hugging him close "As for my plan" she looks to Cheese and Pinkie, "I'm thinking of going as an independent private eye, so while I'm retired from the Manehatten office, I will still do some work here and there, based where we live"

Dynamo smiled at the mention of always being part of the family. "I'm glad to hear that. Your mom and aunts are so nice and caring. I always tried to be well behaved whenever I visited the house. I know I acted like a goofball every once in a while, but I tried not to go overboard. Granted, I wouldn't want to jeopardize any chance of not being able to hang out ever again." He would say, before frowning at the mention of her dad. She sounded hesitant. Almost as if she was worried about saying anything, or if she was hiding something that he might not have known. He walked over to where she was leaning on the wall to place a comforting hand upon her shoulder. However, he was soon pulled into a hug, before returning the embrace without a second thought. "Hey. There's no need to explain. I know it must be difficult to bring up anything about your dad. Even when we were little, you never really said much about him. Just know that whenever you feel comfortable telling me, then I'll always be there for you, sweetheart." He hugged her close as he kissed her cheek. "It's the same about you as you, your mom and your aunts were seen as family by my mom and I." He says, pulling back from the hug and giving his girlfriend a smile.

"An independent private eye. Huh. I think that's rather interesting. I know I tried to open a joke factory to create different things to get other to laugh. It worked, at first. To be fair, it wasn't really a good idea in hindsight. Especially when it almost costed me with losing my laugh." He shuddered, before looking over to Pinkie with a soft smile. "Thanks to Pinkie, I was able to find the laugh I lost and found my purpose again." He hugged Pinkie close and kissed her forehead. "If that's the plan, then I say go for it, Scarlet. Being retired is okay and all, but one can never escape the career that they love to be a part of. I mean, look at Pinkie and I. We can never turn away from being party planning ponies if you begged us to retire." He would say with a chuckle.

Scarlet would hug Dynamo back "I-it's okay sweetie, just some unanswered questions I need to ask mom" she would say, then smiles a little before looking at Pinkie and Cheese "I had heard about the incident with the factory, I'm glad Pinkie was able to get you your laugh back" she would say and nod "I guess, that's the same for detective work for me, it's in my blood and it's something I can't just forget" she'd say.

Dynamo nodded as he held the female rabbit close. “I understand, Scar. Maybe we can talk to you mom when we get home. I just want you to know that I’m here for you and that everything will be okay. I just don’t want to push you into something that you might feel uncomfortable, or something like that.” He says, taking his girlfriend’s feelings into account. “You can say that again.” Cheese smilers, giving Pinkie a thankful look. “If it wasn’t for Pinkie, then I would t be the pony I am today. Not only that, but I think it was that moment that I started to fall in love with her.” He would say and nod, before turning his attention to Scarlet. “There you go! If detective work is what you love, then it’s something you can’t just pass up. I can only imagine you were fascinated with the career when you were younger, right? He asks, while he and Pinkie were putting the finishing touches to the boxes of desserts.

Scarlet would smile and hug him back, looking to Cheese "Oh yes, Dynamo and I would always watch a lot of those mystery crime shows and cartoons" she would say "We'd always try to solve the case before the lead character in the show or cartoon would" she'd giggle "Half of the time we got it right, the other half..well we got it wrong, but what mattered was we always had fun"

"If there's one thing I know, then it's this. You can't go wrong with cartoons. I haven't seen any sort of mystery/crime show cartoons, but I guess its' to each their own." Cheese shrugged with a smile, before smiling at the couple. "I think that's actually pretty sweet. Pinkie and I usually watch cartoons with Cupcake. Not only does it give all of us family time, but it's always fun to watch cartoons." He says, Dynamo chuckling with a nod. "It sounds to me like you're a child at heart. I think that's pretty awesome, Cheese. It's sort of like myself when it involves anime. I know that there are other TV shows to watch, but I'll always be a fan of anime. Although, I remember some anime and cartoons that had that sort of mystery and even crime series. The only two I knew of were either the anime, Case Closed and the cartoon, Inspector Gadget." He would say, Cheese's eyes widened as he grinned from ear to ear. "I remember Inspector Gadget. Sure, that cartoon had it's wacky and zany moments, but it still had that mystery theme to the series." Dynamo nodded as his friend was right on the mark.

"Exactly! It was always fun to interact with the show, while trying to find the clues and answer within the mystery. To be honest, I'm glad there were times that we got the answers wrong. I always try to go into the show with an open mind. That way, the surprise in the mystery feels natural, while we had fun in guessing the answers." He explained, Cheese nodding wholeheartedly in understanding. "I know what you both mean. Sometimes, guessing correctly can make the episode feel predictable. However, it's the way the shows work that help get you invested in the series." He says, sealing up the boxes, before stacking one box on top of another. "There you go, you two. Two random boxes of your favorite desserts. All prepared, ready to go and ready to eat."
