Scarlet yawned and stretched "Yep, a few stretches, a quick breakfast, goodbyes to my aunts, who thankfully are both early rises and then off home" she would say, kissing his cheek and wiggling her whiskers and tail happily.

Devin would stretch and giggle "A kiss to wake me up? Remind me to sleep in tomorrow" she would tease happily and then wiggle her tail and whiskers even more happily.

"That sounds like a good schedule to start off the day today." Dynamo chuckled, covering a hand over his mouth to suppress another yawn. "I didn't think your aunts were early morning creatures. I always thought it was a bad thing to be up so early in the morning. Although, to be fair, I feel as if I'm cursed to be a morning pony." He chuckled, stretching as he felt the kiss upon his cheek. "Seems like someone is happy to be up this morning. I can imagine you were able to get a good night's rest?"

Gentle rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as she rolled her eyes playfully at Devin's response. "I was thinking that it would be a nice way to wake up and start the morning, but yes. I'll try and remind you to sleep in tomorrow. Provided if I'm not busy when it involves having to be up early for dance classes." She giggled, taking notice of Devin wagging her tail and whiskers even more happily. "It seems like someone is in a good mood this morning. Not that I'm complaining, of course. Everything okay, hon?"

Scarlet smiles "Mm one of the best nights I've had in a long time" Scarlet would say, kissing him and stretching. "Come on, I smell breakfast already, the sooner we eat and say goodbye, the sooner we can get home"

Devin smiles "How could I not be in a good mood, I had a good night's sleep, my daughter has come home and my best friend is now my marefriend" she'd kiss her "hope I didn't keep you up last night"

Dynamo smiled and returned the affection. "You can say that again, hon. I remember yesterday I was able to get a good night's rest. I think I've finally begun to rest easy after all of this time." He says with a stretch of his arms, before sniffing the air to smell food. "You've got a good nose for smelling scents. It seems that's one thing that you haven't lost. I remember the times you always smelled carrots and became lost in a trance." He chuckled with a nod. "That sounds good to me. I wouldn't mind a vacation, but it's always nice to be home." He says as he sat up and made his way off of the bed.

"I guess I see your points in all of this, hon." Gentle smiled with a soft giggle. "Knowing I had my best friend turned girlfriend was actually pretty nice." She responded as she returned the kiss. "I can also say that my son is back to his old self and that our children were able to become a couple and are now happy." She says, tilting her head slightly in confusion. "You didn't keep me up at all last night, Dev. Why do you say that? Did something happen?"

"I know, it could be the fact we have finally reunited and the whole case for the camp incident has been solved and closed" she would say, nuzzling him gently before shes aw her aunts cooking breakfast "Morning aunt Snowshoe, morning aunt Geraldine" she would say, hugging them both "We're going to have to eat and run, so we can beat the morning rushhour, we just wanted to say goodbye and thanks for having us over"

Snowshoe smiles "Of course dear, do say hello to your mothers for us, will you" she asks.

-Back in Ponyville-

Devin giggles "I was twitching my whiskers all night, and I was pretty up close to you" she'd say "i hope i didn't tickle you too much" she'd kiss her.

"I'm glad to know that the case has been solved and brought to a close. It feels nice not having to worry about going on any sort of case. I'd be worried if something happened to you. Seeing how you just said we finally reunited. I hope this doesn't sound selfish of me, but I don't want to lose you ever again, hon." He returned the nuzzle, while taking her paw into his hand. As they reached the kitchen, Dynamo had let go of Scarlet's paw as she went to hug her aunts. "Good morning Miss Geraldine and Miss Snowshoe. It's just like what Scar had just mentioned. It's pretty early, so we're going to try and avoid any unnecessary traffic. Thank you once again for letting us stay for the evening. We really appreciate the hospitality." He walked over and joined in on the hugs. "Okay and you've got it, ma'am. I'll be sure to tell my mom that you said hi." He nodded with a smile.

-Back in Ponyville-

"Oh." Gentle giggled, before shaking her head with a smile. "I did feel the twitching of your whiskers, but it was only when I woke up this morning. So, there's no need to worry." She raised an eyebrow as she gave a small smirk at the female rabbit. "Oh, please. I'm slightly ticklish, so you can't surprise me with any tickling." She says, before being kissed by Devin. "Okay. Now that was a surprise out of nowhere." She giggled once more as she smirked playfully at her girlfriend. "You seem to be giving a lot of kisses lately. I'm guessing this is to make up for all the other times that you could have kissed me, huh? I guess there's no time like the present." She smiled as she pulled Devin into a hug and returned the affection.

Scarlet nods and sits down, being served by her aunt Snowshoe "thank you auntie" she would say and hug her before turning to Dynamo "You're right Dynamo, I feel that it will also help the other survivors" she says and sips on a coffee "I'm going to find the others and let them know of the news, hopefully it will help" she says.

Devin giggles "I just love loving on my special marefriend" she would say, "That and I'm excited to have my baby girl home" she would say then hug her "Now come on, lets eat breakfast, do our usual morning exercises and jog before you go to work"

As Dynamo took a seat, he smiled and nodded in thanks as Snowshoe had served both him and Scarlet some breakfast. "Thank you so much, ma'am. This breakfast looks delicious." He says, turning to Scarlet and nodded in agreement. "I think so too. I wonder if there's a way to gather a few of the survivors and maybe talk about things. Sort of like a group therapy session." He took a bite of his breakfast, before taking a sip of his coffee. "If you plan to find the others, then let me know. I'll be sure to help and it's better than going off to find others alone." He took her paw in his hand once more as he kissed the back of her paw.

-in Ponyville-

Gentle giggled and rolled her eyes. "I can say the same exact thing about my girlfriend. I'm just glad that everything has worked out and that you and I are even closer together in our lives." She responded as he nuzzled Devin. "I'll be grateful to have our kids make it home in one piece." She nodded in agreement as she returned the hug. "I can't argue with that plan. Is there anything in particular that you'd like to have for breakfast, hon? It's been a while since we've gone on a morning jog together, but I don't mind that. Thanks for reminding me about work. I honestly thought I had the day off, but I guess that's not the case." She says, sitting up and stretching her arms, before making her way out of bed.

Scarlet smiles with a nod "Good idea, with the two of us, we'll find them and be able to show them that the two of us were able to move past the incident..after some time" she would say, leaning over to kiss him.

Devin smiles "I'll have some oatmeal, thank you" she says "And some coffee, just the way that I like" she would then look to her "It's okay sweetie, I wish you did have the day off, but work is work, and we both gotta earn money to live"

Dynamo nodded in agreement as the plan sounded perfect. "I can imagine that there might be some ponies and creatures in Ponyville, who may have gone through similar experiences. That's true that things get easier after some time, but it helps when you are with those that you care about. Just like how we were able to get through those troubling times together. I know we'll be able to do our best to help our friends." He smiled as he leaned over to return the kiss, before pulling back from the kiss with a slight blush. "Sweetheart. I don't think your aunts would like if we kissed at the breakfast table." He joked with a small smile as he could imagine her aunts would enjoy teasing the young couple.

-In Ponyville-

"Oatmeal and coffee, huh? You read my mind, hon. I haven't had oatmeal in quite a while, but that sounds great." Gentle smiled as she took Devin's paw into her hand. "I know and I can't argue with that. I know that you can be busy with work, as well. It shows that responsibility is very important in the long run of things." She says as she lead the two of them out of the room, while leading them towards the kitchen area to make breakfast. "I just hope that we can have some more time to spend with you after work, if that's okay." She giggled as she kissed her cheek.

Snowshoe just giggles "We won't mind, so long as you won't mind Geraldine and I kissing at the dinner table too" she would say, gently nuzzling her beloved wife and purring loudly before kissing her. Scarlet would just giggle and roll her eyes "I'm used to it Dynamo, honey" she would say, gently holding his hand.

Devin nods "I know sweetheart, but maybe you can take some time off just before they get back? I'll get Scarlet to let me know when they are half way here and then I'll let you know so you can have time to get back before they get home?"

As he saw Snowshoe and Geraldine kiss, Dynamo chuckled as he awed at the sight. "Thanks for letting us know and I don't mind. I think this is the first time that I've met you both, but you are both really wonderful aunts." He says, turning his attention to Scarlet as he felt her taking his hand into his paw. "Oh, I know, Scar. I'm always for lovey dovey kind of romance, but I always want to try and be polite when I'm around others. Plus, I want to show others that I truly love and value my special someone." He gave her paw a reassuring squeeze, before leaning down and kissing the back of her paw.

-In Ponyville-

At the mention of taking some time off, Gentle hummed in thought, before nodding at the suggestion. "I don't think that's such a bad idea, hon. There are only a few students during the morning dance class. That, and they are in the process of a refresher course, before learning a dance step or two at a time. If you send a message of when the kids are half way home, then I can end classes early and make it back home. How does that sound?" She asks as the two had made their way into the kitchen. She pulled a chair out for Devin to sit in, before grabbing a few bowls and oatmeal packets to prepare breakfast.

Snowshoe smiles "We did our best to raise Scarlet, it wasn't always easy, but we loved every moment of it" she would say "And thank you, we can tell you're a upstanding young stallion who will treat our niece well" she would say, finishing her breakfast "alright you two, you'd best get going if you want to beat the rush hour morning traffic" she would smile "But first, give your old aunts a hug, won't you sweetie" she would say to Scarlet.

Scarlet happily got up and went to hug her aunts "Thank you so much for everything auntie Snowshoe and auntie Geraldine, I will never forget the love and care you've shown me" she would say, gently nuzzling them before holding Dynamo's hand "Lets go dear"

- In Ponyville -

Devin nods "alright then love, it's a plan. I'll ask Scarlet to let us know when she is half way here, then let you know" she would say, kissing her and eating her breakfast "Gentle, there's..there's something I've wanted to tell you for so long" she would say "I..you've always been here for me. When were were kids, for my wedding and when..my husband passed before Scarlet was born, and then during the whole camp incident..I just..I don't know if there is truly any way I could repay you for it"

"You're welcome and I want to do my best to always be there for Scarlet and to make her happy. Also, you shouldn't thank me, ma'am. If anything, I should be the one to thank you. I haven't seen Scar in such a long time. I never knew if she was okay, if she was safe, or something like that. Seeing her again after such a long time, I was just glad to see that she was okay. She looked to have gone through a lot from what she and I went through, but I know you both were able to take care of Scar." He gave Snowshoe and Geraldine an appreciative look, before finishing his breakfast. At the mention of leaving to avoid traffic, Dynamo nodded as he waited patiently for his girlfriend. He smiled as she and her aunts shared a hug, before going over to give her aunts a hug, as well. "I know I keep saying this, but thank you both again for the hospitality. I hope we'll be able to see you again soon." As he pulled away from the hugs, he looked over to Scarlet and nodded as she took her hand into her paw. "Okay, hon. Time for us to go home."

- In Ponyville - 

As Devin placed the bowls of oatmeal in the microwave, she looked over to Devin and nodded at her remark. "Okay and thank you, dear. I appreciate that you'll let me know when they get back." Her ears perked as she heard the microwave beep as breakfast had been completed. After carefully getting the bowls of oatmeal out of the microwave, she got out some spoons and potholders, before levitating the bowls over towards the table. "There we are. Oatmeal for breakfast if now complete." She smiled as she returned Devin's kiss. As she was about to eat her oatmeal, Gentle tilted her head slightly as she heard Devin calling out to her. She wanted to ask if anything was wrong, but decided to stay quiet as she listened to what the female rabbit had to say. "Devin..." She smiled softly as she reached over and held her paw. "You don't have to repay me for anything. There's nothing really to repay for, in my opinion. You and I were always best friends from all those years ago. We've been there for each other and helped one another when we went through troubling times. I know how upset you were when you lost your husband. The same can be said for me as I lost Quick. So much has happened already, but you and I got through it all together. We gave each other support and our friendship to remind ourselves that it would all be okay." She took the paw she was holding and kissed the back of her paw. "All I can ever ask if that we continue to be there for each other and enjoy our lives as a couple. I know I wasn't sure before, but yesterday and today? I can truly say that I'm truly happy to have you as my special someone."

Scarlet would nod and give her aunts one more hug and a cheek nuzzle before making her way to the car, "Alright love, get in, we can stop somewhere along the way for a bit of a rest and grab something to eat and drink" she would say, getting into the driver's side and buckled up her seat belt.

Devin's ears would also perk at the sound of the microwave. She would nod "I would be glad to do that" she would say, letting her oatmeal cool down a little.

As they exited the house, Dynamo waited patiently and chuckled as he watched Scarlet giving her aunts one more hug. As they started making their way towards the car, the blue unicorn nodded at the suggestion. "Sounds good to me, babe. Once we get out of Manehattan, then we won't have to worry about dealing with any sort of traffic. I wouldn't mind stopping for something to eat and taking a rest. I made sure to let my boss know that I wouldn't be at the arcade for work today." He responded, getting into the passenger's seat and buckling up his seat belt. "Do you need my phone for GPS, Scar? I made sure to charge the phone the night before, in case of an emergency."

- in Ponyville -

As she let her oatmeal cool down, Gentle nodded as she opened the fridge to grab a couple of drinks. "Thank you, hon. That's all I ask and I appreciate the help. Do you have to work today, or are you off? Also, I'm going to have some ginger-ale for a beverage. Would you like that too, or is there any other beverage that you'd recommend?" She asks, levitating the can of ginger-ale out of the fridge.

"Hmm no I should be good, thanks though love" she would say, kissing his cheek before waving goodbye to her aunts who were at the door to see them out. "I did get a message from my mom asking us to tell her when we're about half way home" she would say.

"I've got some work to do, but I can easily do it from home as it's just some computer admin stuff" she would say "and a ginger ale sounds good too"

"Okay and you're welcome, sweetheart. I trust you, but I only ask because I care about you." Dynamo responded, smiling as he waved to Scarlet's aunts, as well. "I'm glad to hear that your mom asked us to let you know. Maybe when we stop to get something to eat and rest, then we'll send them a message. I'd say that's about the halfway point when going home." He pointed out, kissing her cheek as they were about to drive away.

-in Ponyville-

"I always forget that you work as an admin. That's pretty high up on the company you work at, in my opinion. Goes to show how lucky you get to be when you don't have to go to the work building." Gentle responded with a chuckle. "Another ginger-ale coming right up hon." She grabbed another canned beverage as she closed the fridge behind her. She levitated the ginger-ale over to Devin, before retaking her seat at the table. The periwinkle unicorn made a quick inspection of her food to see if it was still hot, before taking a bite of her oatmeal. "Mm. It's not to hot and not too cold either. Now it's just right to eat and enjoy."

Scarlet would nod "It's okay love and I know" she says "I think it's so my mom and yours can have the place ready for us for when we get back" she would smile as she then begun to drive off "and yeah, I think you're right, but we may stop every now and then for short breaks, have a coffee or something"

Devin smiles as she accepts the beverage "Thanks Gentle, and yeah, I'm not CEO or anything, but I do get to make my own hours"

"That's understandable. I could imagine they made sure everything was okay for us as we would probably be tired, or we would just want to relax when we get back." He smiled and nodded as Scarlet began to drive away from her aunts home. "I know my mom might have work today. So, I could imagine she would want to see us at some point when we get home. I wouldn't mind having coffee and stopping every now and then. I was surprised we were able to get to the house without having the need to take a break. Granted, we did stop at the office to collect everything from your office room." He looked back and remembered her boxes were either in the back seat or in the trunk of the car.

"You're welcome Devin and it's no problem. At least you make your own hours. I can do the same thing, but I usually have to schedule dance lessons for certain students." Gentle chuckled as she took a sip from her ginger-ale. "I could imagine you would have make your own hours if you had to leave early, or if you needed the day off."

Scarlet nodded and smiled, continuing the drive "I took a few...shortcuts" she would say "Technically I wasn't supposed to but I just didn't want to deal with the traffic" she would say and then stop at a set of traffic lights, leaning over to kiss his cheek.

"You took a few shortcuts?" Dynamo wondered as he heard Scarlet's explanation. "I'm guessing you took different turns where you weren't allowed to turn, or different directions that nobody thought about, huh?" He playfully smirked with a chuckle. "No need to explain and I don't blame you, hon. I remember my mom once telling me a shortcut to getting home and avoiding traffic once. I almost didn't want to believe it, but it actually worked out." He says as they stopped at a set of traffic lights. He smile as he felt the kiss upon his cheek. "If you want, then we can take those shortcuts that you were mentioning about. We would just have to be careful to avoid any cars and traffic, of course."

- In Ponyville -

"You can say that again." Gentle nodded as she took another bite of her oatmeal. "I'm all for working at home, but it's nice to work in the office, you know? It feels like a change of pace and you get out of the house. Sort of like a breath of fresh air." She giggled, before looking at the time. "Oh, that's right. Before I forget, I just wanted to make sure of something. I know you might head back home, but I can imagine you might stay here and wait for the kids. If you do, then you still have the spare key I gave you, right?"

Scarlet would smile and nod as she continued to drive "I think those shortcuts would be a good idea, I cannot wait to get home" she'd say, and smile some more "You know, I have a feeling, though I'm retired, there's probably going to be something back home to keep me occupied" she'd say "May just open up a small P.I business myself, go independent, you know?" she'd ask, nuzzling him before continuing the drive.

Devin smiles and nods, finishing her breakfast "I'll go home just to get a few things and tidy up, otherwise, I'll be right here, and I have the spare key, so don't worry" she'd kiss her cheek "And don't worry, I won't tell the kids our news until you are here from work"

"You and me both, honey. I don't mind going on vacation every now and then, but I'll always be happy to be back home in Ponyville." Dynamo nodded as he returned the smile, before raising an eyebrow with a curious expression. "What makes you say that, Scar? You said that you have a sort of feeling. Could you please explain?" He thought about the idea of a small P.I. business, before nodding at the idea. "I think that's an interesting idea. Although, I'd hate to tell you this, but you're not going independent. Not unless you have me tagging along for the adventure. I know it sounds silly, but I wouldn't want you to go through this alone. I lost you once and I'm not letting that happen again. I'm with you whether you like it or not." He returned the nuzzle, before they continued on their drive towards home.

After going over the plan for the moment, Gentle nodded as she finished up her breakfast. "Okay, then. I'll finish getting ready for the early morning classes and I'll clean up the dishes." She smiled with a chuckle. "I remember when I did have a spare key. I had one for me and one for my son. I remember you were always at my house for most of the day and vice versa. Afterwards, we basically had to go and get you a spare key in case something had happened. I think we should go and get a key for Scarlet, just in case something is wrong." She blushed as she felt Devin kiss her cheek. "Thanks, hon. I'll see you when you get back. If I'm gone when you get back, then I'll see you soon." She pulled Devin into a tight hug, before the periwinkle mare pulled Devin into a kiss. After a moment, Gentle pulled back from the kiss and smiled softly. "Sorry about that. Call me selfish, but I was hoping to get a goodbye kiss and hug before I left for work." She says with a soft giggle.

Scarlet would smile and nod "Well okay if you really wish for us to be in it together" she'd say "They do say that two heads are better than one" she'd say and smile at him some more "I more so can't wait to get home to our mothers and to our beloved Milkshake and Chocolate" she'd smile even more "I know we were only gone a short while, but I miss those lovable fluffballs so much"

Devin would nod, and act surprised as she was pulled into the kiss and wrapped her arms around the mare, happily kissing back "I was getting to it, silly" she'd say, gently booping her on the snoot.
