Or did she did she used to have one, but had it destroyed, over it showing her to be too heavy?

I'd bet she has a super fancy one that was built centuries ago and is now collecting dust because she's honed in her physical and dietary routine to the point she doesn't have to worry. Imagine. She's probably eaten more cake than any pony alive, including Pinkie Pie just because she's had time on her side. There's also the question or energy output as an alicorn, her waving hair is a like a run off of constant power, so maybe the calories don't effect her in anyway since they're negligible to what she can do at any given moment.
