I honestly don't know much about Audi, but I do know about Mercedes-Benz. I drive a Smart Fortwo which is made by Mercedes-Benz and I love it to bits.

When I was a little child, I was a totally Mercedes Benz Fan (I guess it was the first car I knowed with name). Later, I became an Audi fan (I am not really sure why, I guess it was because of a racing game where I always won with an Audi XD). Nowadays, I am sure that I never can own any of this cars. Anyway, I would like to drive both cars. So I really don't have a preference. Both cars are nice.

But what I also can say is that both cars have together with BMW the most antisocial drivers I see on the Autobahn. -.-

I like the look of some Audi's but I probably wouldn't own any luxury cars.
