Mystic just blinked, moving her mane away from front of her eyes "You know, I really had to make an effort to not block that with a shadow." since she wasn't really used to, having fun so to speak, she didn't see the reason  why Placidus had splashed her "Is splashing something ponies usually do?"

"Why bother if I'm enjoying it as it is?" Mystic argued "And how exactly would I do things requiring more than one pony when no pony wants to have anything to do with me?" "And how is splashing fun?" it was a genuine question, it wasn't for sake of being spoilsport.

Mystic blinked, not sure what to think of the reply, but after looking down on the water thoughtfully and then returning her glance towards Placidus, she splashed towards him once to test what it was like.

Mystic still looked bit unsure, but splashed Placidus again, it was weird to her, she felt like she wasn't supposed to enjoy something so....childish, but it was amusing and entertaining, maybe even little bit of...fun.

Placidus splashed her some more, this time very rapidly, which typically happened in terms of splashing. This was pretty fun for Placidus, especially since he's hadn't had a chance to have this much fun with a pony in such a long time.

Mystic seemingly just stayed there, taking the splashing, but Placidus soon got a huge amount of water thrown at him from behind him, and if he was to look where it came from, he would see Mystic's shadows that had formed a bowl like shape and were gathering water on it to throw it again. Mystic smirked.

This caught Placidus by surprise. He didn't expect that to happen. He smiled.

"I guess you're one to play fair, are you?"

Placidus was starting to grow more attached to Mystic. Despite meeting her today, he felt as if he knew her for a lifetime.

Placidus continue splashing. Was he going to do better than her and her shadows? Of course not, but that didn't make it any less fun.

"I have never been sitting around." Mystic pointed out, she was still very hard to read, and the splashing water didn't exactly make the visual cues that easy to read either "There just is no point in fun when you're alone."

"The point of constantly being productive is to not be bored." Mystic pointed out "Just sitting doing nothing is what is boring." for somepony who it was the usual, it wasn't boring to be productive all the time.

"It would be foolish to claim I don't fear anything." she replied "But I'm yet to find what I'm scared of." "Dealing with darkness really has effect on your mind, even when you manage to avoid the corruption."

"Have you seen those things? They have so many tiny legs. The crawl around looking all tiny and stuff and then they make these weird cacoon things and I hear they turn into like a liquid or something before becoming a butterfly or a moth and those are even scarier than caterpillars! They are like caterpillars with wings!"

"Is your life really so...safe, that you fear harmless things?" Mystic asked, sounding genuinely curious "I really am missing on something it seems."  "Though I have never feared insects, so nothing probably would be different for me on that side if I was normal."

"Have feared neither of them." "But I can understand why somepony snakes, since they are an actual threat for ponies who don't know how or can't fight them off." Mystic said "But I don't see why one would fear spiders."

"Because they are spiders. That's why."

It was that simple of an answer. Ponies feared spiders because they were spiders. Those things were not fun.
