So we go from Taylor Swift being a shill to "pride month is attention whoring". Nice little shift in the conversation there.

That's why I'm always skeptical of any conversation that comes up along these lines. There's honestly not a very fine line between people who complain about corporations taking advantage of pride and bigots who just don't want LGBT stuff to be visible altogether. The people arguing the former end up giving room for the latter.

It's *always* valid to point out that a corporation who waves the pride flag actually treats their LGBT employees poorly and donates money to anti-LGBT causes, Republican candidates, etc. and that conversation should be had. People should know before they support these corporations/public figures who are not actually as good as they make themselves out to be. However, beware when the conversation gets shifted over to the very concept of the corporation/public figure visibly showing support for the LGBT community, because that leaves room for people who want that visibility in of itself removed to join in, but with ulterior motives.

I do agree with you on this to some degree. For me I don't see Taylor Swift being anti LGBTQ.... however, I also see the concern.

I did find a video that is interesting and I agree with a lot of it.
