Regarding Season 9's Villians

I personally liked Cozy Glow out of three, one of the reasons being how different she is compared to two. She does not have crazy powers or an intimidating look, rather the opposite really, making her depend on her smarts and seemingly innocent persona. She was the one who enthusiastically supported the idea of working together that Discord/Grogar proposed, willing to step down her ego a little bit to see why Twilight and her friends always succeeded. She felt a bit refreshing for a villain as well since pretty much all the villains that came before her were magically powerful. Which out the three do you like the best and why?

Cozy was definitely the one who popped for me - I'd liked her in Season 8, but being the token pony and baby of the group* to a band of serious topclass villains brought out a whole new side of her (while her identity apparently not being made public allowed her to still play her old tricks from time to time).  

*No-one tell her I called her that, OK?

cozy also stood out to me, her really innocent looking appearance and babyish voice/personality was really unique and interesting compared to the other two, thought she was by far the most entertaining one too

Combo breaker, my favorite was Chrysalis. She is by far the most thoroughly villainous, being the first to speak out on rejecting friendship in Frenemies, gloating about how they would return as soon as they lost, and felt only enmity, not shame, when she was being turned to stone, unlike her companions.

This season made me love cozy glow and tirek, while tirek was less menacing than in season 4 but without the interaction with the other 2 his character wouldn't have been explored nearly as much as it was. Cozy was hilarious, and chrysalis became competent again. 

 

Overall, I love chrysi slightly more than the other 2 but in season 9 its much closer then it was before.

Tirek definitly did it for me. For example, in Frenemies he is the one who uses his head and makes a plan. And in the final he uses his head and experience to deal with the Windigo's.

Honestly; all three formed just SUCH a perfect trio it's hard for me to pick a favorite. Cozy was conniving and insane, Chrysalis was manipulative and sneaky, and Tirek was level-headed yet bull-headed. It was so entertaining I can't really pick a favorite!

Cozy Glow’s over-the-tip innocence scheme was brilliant and her design is pretty nice (aside from her gradient turning to the same pink as her hide which looks pretty weird).

I liked them all but Cozy was just a more fun character to listen to. It was amazing how such a small filly had the power over crowds of older ponies. She would’ve made a great politician if she didn’t choose to be evil.

The a Terrible Trio was one of Season 9’s best components. Every single one of them shared a boatload of chemistry with their varying personalities, quirks, and ambitions while simultaneously wanting to achieve one goal: conquer Equestria.

Individually, my favorite goes to Cozy. Despite working as one with Tirek and Chrysalis, she still attempted to manipulate them by getting under their skin and telling little, kiddy lies. Her temper explosions and facial expressions are hysterical. Despite her small size, her brains make her a serious threat.

And that's why I'm okay with her being turned to stone with the other two. Foal or not, she was a terribly evil person. And hey, since they've been turned to stone and not just flat out killed, there's always a chance they can be released or break free.

Although, I prefer Chrysalis due to her being a foil and final revelation for Changeling Will Guide. Only by accepting that Chrysalis never cared for him and he knows whose approval he really should seek from: His friends and Unicorn Will Guide's approval and friendship, not Chrysalis', can C. Will finally reach Butterfly form at the end of Season 9

To add to your point, they committed by far the worst crimes, including (attempted aggravated) kidnapping, assault with intent of bodily harm, and attempted murder. Their punishment more than fit the crime.

And uet even so, the execution of it splashed mud all over charachters already stained.
