Where I live openly liking ponies is a complete no no on every single level. Is not just dorky or merely awkward like most other things, but considered something rather sick and can actually drive women away completely. Actually, women don't mind if a dude is an habitual video game player or if dude plays tcg such as yu gi oh or magic, but liking pastel ponies is a super repelent. So, you subscribe to arbitrary cultural norms that tell you how your life should look, and feel bad about living the life you want to live. Screw that. It's your life and no one can tell you how to live it. Well, within reason. If your hobbies include riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle and firing an SMG at people, law enforcement is more than justified in putting a stop to that. But, if your hobbies don't harm people, there's no reason you need to feel bad about enjoying them. You're better off being single than trying to appease any woman who is not ok with that. If you're really keen on satisfying a primal instinct to ensure the continued survival of the human race through reproduction, I'm not going to tell you otherwise, and maybe you just need to keep looking to find the right woman. From a self-fulfillment standpoint though, it's your life, so you should do with it as you please. If that doesn't include being in a relationship, then you don't need to feel bad about that. Heck, I'm in my early 30s now, and I finally met my Kate. I can tell you, I'm glad I didn't settle for someone else earlier on just to conform to a societal expectation. Maybe it will take years, but I'm telling you, I'm glad I held out for the right person. I do hold a very cynical view of love and relationships, so you will probably get a different opinion from someone else, but I'm not the type who feels the need to be in a relationship just for the sake of not being single. I'm more of the type who seeks the right compatibility. Above all else, I'm the type who prefers to be with someone who is ok with me being me. I was not willing to settle for anything less, so I didn't.

Widdershins 9,960 June 24, 2020 Share June 24, 2020 ... Dead, probably. ... I, uh, know that sounds a little extreme. And I AM a Drama Queen! But~... See, I honestly believe that until My Little Pony brought it up... I didn't know Friendship existed. That treating others with respect and kindness instead of hostility, manipulation and power hierarchies was even possible. I grew up with parents the sole center of my life, Simple and Assertive. I'll leave it to you which was which. My mental state probably wouldn't have started its rocky path upwards towards positivity if it hadn't been for this show mentioning it. Sure, I've watched other things but that's what gets me about media. There's always a protagonist that has things center around them and get given things. I would probably still be living with my Mother. Well, not for long. ...and i'll let that intonation hang heavy. This show was the first thing to tell me, rather late in life, that being nice was an option. That you didn't have to force yourself on others, fight for everything every day and... ...Sigh. Think I need to go back to watching the show. Beatings & Salivations Everybeing! Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread! Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew! Envy 6,169 June 27, 2020 Share June 27, 2020 Really don't think I would be much different, the only things I can think of that watching the show/being a part of this forum brought me: -A forum that I've been active for nearly 9 years straight without any breaks. -A reconnection with my early childhood when I drifted from FiM to the earlier generations and learned that I did actually play with Gen Is when I was tiny. I really can't say there's anything major like say, if I hadn't ever become a Kingdom Hearts fan. That would have majorly altered the course of the last five years, because it was finding an individual who performed an impeccably done cover of a KH piece that inspired me to pick the oboe up and seriously learn it, which ended up with me taking oboe lessons, which ended up with me returning to college. Everything needs more woodwind!
