My idea is the nightmare a black pony with a fiery mane and it can fly. The ground lights up in flames in it's footsteps. Not seahorses like the G1 sea-ponies were. Other than that, I don't think that there are any other mythological horse creatures. Well maybe a Centaur, but it would be weird to have part human ponies. I wouldn't like this...
