I need to be informed! >.< My Little Pony Mystery Figures, or "Blind Bags", as they are often called are mini solid hair figures sold in bags with no identification as to which pony is inside (other than a number which I will explain below). They come with a collectable card and a pamphlet of other figures in the wave. What are waves? Waves are the different series of blind bags. Each wave includes a different set of ponies. I'm not sure how many waves there are but the United States is currently on wave 1. The figures come in five different molds, one for each of the mane 6 except Fluttershy for some reason. She shares a mold with Rainbow Dash. Each figure uses one of the five molds, so they're basically recolors of the mane 6. The mold used and pose associated with that mold is also reflected in the artwork on the card. Though the bags are all the same with no obvious indication of which pony is inside, there is an identification number on the inside of the back flap. Older wave 1 blind bags used a two digit number. The newest shipment, however, uses five digits. Each wave can be identified using the following charts: Wave 1 First version: Second version: Wave 2 Wave 3 There are also mini figures sold outside of the "blind bags". There is a 4 pack with Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie, and a Toys R Us exclusive collection set which comes with 12 ponies. The collection set includes the mane 6 and six other ponies exclusive to the set. It also includes collectable cards for each figure. The 4 pack, however, does not include cards. SydneyGrey 32 June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 My advice on blind bags is don't buy them from Toys R Us unless you have to. They're really expensive there. Unfortunately for me, the Walmarts around here don't carry the blind bags, so my only choices are to either buy them from Toys R Us, or else mail-order them. I ended up with 3 of one so I put a screw eye in the top of one and made a key chain. And people on etsy make necklaces out of them too. Every potted plant in our house now has its own guardian pony. Must have ponies on my tree now! (if we have a tree this year. Last Christmas was only a few weeks after my dad died & mom just didn't have it in her to put up a tree. Neither did i really.)
