I don't know if this is the right thread since i rarely make them lol and if there is already one.

What is something you were never taught to do/say?

For me it is saying thank you or sorry which ultimately lead to me struggling to say it to others.
Usually compliments i just shut off and say no/decline and people in the past thought that me not saying sorry meant it was a pride thing but in reality..
I've always just felt uncomfortable/awkward saying it because i don't know how to properly say it.

I have learned to say thank you's in my way by giving people i love art.

I'm slowly trying to learn to fix up those things as I wish to be able to become better at communicating properly but it's still a big regret and wonder why i wasn't taught these things by my parents. o.0

I’d say socially interact with others. I grew up in a rough spot in town so my parents were very paranoid about letting me go hang out with other kids. They never let me. It’s too dangerous. It’s not safe. I don’t know their parents.

Because of that strict upbringing I had a hard time making friends or interacting with other’s without the same sort of thoughts coming to mind. I can’t go to the movies it’s dangerous. I cant go hang at this persons house. Due to barely hanging around other people my age I became bad at social interactions. I never spoke at all. I got bullied for being the weird kid who never talks.

Im still not the best at conversations but I’ve come a long way from not speaking to anyone or throwing awkward statements out there that didn’t make sense because I was nervous.

They never taught me how to drive on the interstate, so I took it upon myself to learn  Definitely not the smartest thing to do, but I survived without any damage to anything.

My parents did well in teaching me the essentials, but one thing that I was never taught was that obsessively playing video games would have severe consequences. I obsessively played video games despite my parents attempting to restrict me. This obsession was harmless in my eyes, but eventually it led to me becoming anti-social, demotivated, and depressed. I ignored taking care of myself in favor of playing video games, and my responsibilities were also ignored unless my parents forced me to do them. So, anyways, I was never taught that such an obsession would harm me so much, but now that I look back in my life, I see that it contributed to my depression and anxiety, which I still suffer from presently.

It’s easier than you might think. The process of color keying is just a dialog box in Photoshop where you select parts of the image by sampling a color (it can be any color).

There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube. I would like to say though that it seems like an automatic and easy way to crop out something and replace something, but that is not the case. You will still end up with edge cases that need manual work. The end result can really feel cheap. Just be prepared for that, as well as color spill. Light bounces off objects, so the actual edge of an object might not be the edge, but the color you are replacing which bounced off the surface at a steep angle, which sadly happens more than often. You will end up with an undefined shape, which may be the foreground, the background, or both at the same time. Yay for color keying!

I was never taught how to make art; it was inherited from my mom, who is very artistic (but in a completely different style). I was never taught how to drive a stick shift. I have an automanual car now and if I choose to drive it manually it tells me when to shift and I don’t have a clutch pedal. And I was never given 'the talk' but I figured that stuff on my own anyway.
