Is dreaming 'watching TV' pirating tv?

This is probably the oddest question that has ever been asked on this forum I'm sure but never the less I'm gonna ask it.

So, here goes I have quite literally watched episodes of MLP G4 LONG before they were suppose to air in my dreams. Yes entire episodes start to finish in some cases MONTHS before the episode's official air date.

 

So, debate does my subconscious desire to watch MLP before I'm legally allowed to technically mean I am a pirate or no because I had no conscience control?

MLP was special because they screwed up the release dates anyways. But for other show, it is all about what you mean by TV since most shows nowadays are streamed. The old TV system, the shows were live and you couldn't get access to them before they were aired.

I believe we all have been pirates once internet became a thing, not because we did it on purpose, but because we didn't know it was a problem in the first place. We can't blame ourselves for being part of a new technological system with loose rules.

I'm being very literal here this isn't some.kind of metaphor or anything. I actually mean falling asleep in my bed and while in the dream world watching MLP episodes I never saw before..the dream stream lmao.

I guess so. Do not pirate stuff. People see it as a victimless crime. But think of the children! Always think of the children. Not in a creepy way, okay? I know the kind of adults that are attracted to this type of forums and platforms. Also, that sounds like the sh*ttiest dream ever. I am sorry. But it is. Dreaming about watching tv. Hahaha.

Dream watching? As in, imagining what the episode would be like before it aired. Gotta admit, I’d tolerate a lot more episodes if they’d gone the way they did in my head

your brain is an interesting thing  it can make you powerfully feel that you have seen something before when you definitely haven't.

I like to think that this is because we're constantly reusing the same neurones for new memories so that the old memories bleed into the new.

But Galaxy, a G1 unicorn I know, is pretty sure it is just magic :3

It happened to me that I dreamed about watching a new episode of MLP, it was nothing like the official episodes though, so I don't think it was pirating

If you are referring to your subconsciousness desiring to illegally watch TV show episodes before they air, then there is nothing inherently wrong with that. Thinking about something is not like acting on those thoughts. Or in other words, thinking is different than doing. Now, if you dwell on those thoughts rather than let them pass or condemn them, then those thoughts become dangerous. You still haven't acted on them yet, so you are not doing anything wrong, but allowing yourself to dwell on them is the next step towards acting on them, which is wrong. In the end, it's best to allow the wrongful thoughts to pass or to condemn them should they linger.

Also, your subconsciousness is one of the reasons why you dream of what you dream. If you dream of committing piracy, I'm not exactly sure how to change that, but I am sure that the same logic that applies to your consciousness also applies to your subconsciousness in that what you think is not like what you do.

Overall, dreaming of illegally watching TV show episodes before they air is not wrong, but actually watching TV show episodes illegally before they air is piracy, and that's wrong. Don't do it.

Whatever it is, I’d love to get some insights on what movies to avoid this summer. Can you take a look at Indiana Jones 5 for me? And how are you with lotto numbers?
