This one i have to pass. Kuya was highly experimental character that I can't connect and keep up with and is hard to make connections.

Might make a new character instead. Or entirely edit this Kuya. As this kuya is set to be more perverted than the later models.....

Actually i think this one is the older version of a none pervert kuya.... But still retaining some attitudes of me having a hard time connecting myself.... 🤔

All in all im having a hard time with this kuya...

Here is where I am at. As I mentioned when I first joined, I have a huge love for the Fallout franchise, so I would like to still be a part of this RP. However, there are a number of issues going on in my life that makes it hard for me to find time and energy to devote to RP. So if you don't mind moving at a very slow pace, then that is what I can do.

@Evil Pink One

You can make a new character if you want, no pressure if you're not that interested though.

@Props Valroa

Sounds good, you want to continue straight from where you were? Or take a new start? I'm thinking of having everyone have their own story rather than putting you all in the same world.

@GeneralDirection

I have no problem with taking it slow, and that means it will be a 1x1 between us so that should allow for a more focused dive into the lore I have planned. Do you want to continue from where you are? Or would you like a fresh start?

@Illiad Easle

Ok, 1x1 sounds good to me. I think it depends on what your plans are moving forward. Sounds like you want to make some changes, which is ok by me. Taking into account these changes, do you think starting over would be better? I am fine with either way.

@GeneralDirection

Hmmm.... I do think I want to change a bit of the lore inside the city of New Pegas, and since we're going 1x1 we can go through character introductions more slowly including playing out your second character's escape rather than just having her appear.

If you want to have the same start as before, that is to say, growing up in the stable under New Pegas, the beginning will be pretty similar in terms of situation and story beats, the changes I have in mind are pretty minor.

Up to you, your characters are in a pretty good place starting in Nova.

@Props Valroa

Well I was initially planning for all of you to go after the artifact, everyone had a story hook in that direction after all, which would bring you all together for or against each other as you fight for who's faction will end up winning, and which factions will ally, but that relies on everyone moving at more or less the same pace and could get complicated fast.

I'm fine with whatever choice you're most passionate about. As I recall Carnelian was looking to find the Academic Research sites to recover potent magical weaponry, and she was presently sneaking around the ruins of a city to recover equipment for a group of NLR soldiers.

If you want to continue her story from there, restart her story from when she disembarked the Æther, or pick a new character with a new entry point, I'm happy to accommodate.

@GeneralDirection @Props Valroa

The DLCs are also available as story paths if you're interested. Though the Lonesome Road will be a bit different depending on your start.

@GeneralDirection

Sounds good, they were optional anyway. They exist in universe regardless of whether you send your characters there, so if you change your mind they'll be available.

I'll spin up a new thread on Monday. To confirm, you want the same start point as before? Being selected for a job from the Stable?

@Props Valroa

Sounds good, I'll spin up a new thread on Monday and start it with a summary of everything your character has experienced up until that point.

I could have sworn I posted the RP links here yesterday, but it looks like the two of you found them without any trouble.

Sorry for not putting them in the 1x1 channel, I forgot that was a thing, it's been a while since I last started a thread.

@Props Valroa

We should establish what equipment Carnelian has on her, as well as her SPECIAL stats. I won't use the 100 point skills that New Vegas uses, but we can set each with a -2 to +2 range being Inexperienced, Novice, Amateur, Expert, and Master. I don't intend to roll dice too often, but this should flesh out what her skills are.

So SPECIAL is:

Strength (How heavy of weapons she can effectively use, how hard she can hit with her hooves.), Perception (How well she can detect enemies, find things she's looking for, notice attempts to persuade her), Endurance (How long she can go without needing to rest or eat), Charisma (How liked she is, generally, by those she meets. How easy it is to convince others to do things, give her better prices.) Intelligence (Certain weapons, armor, and equipment are complicated to use) Agility (How well she can dodge and aim) Luck (Self explanatory)

Each is 1-10, and you get 40 points to distribute between them.

The skills are:

  • Magic, Use of magical weapons and artifacts
  • Science/Energy, Use of electricity based weapons and artifacts
  • Explosives, Use of explosives and ability to detect/disarm
  • Guns, Use of powder based weapons
  • Lockpick
  • Medicine
  • Melee weapons
  • Repair
  • Sneak
  • Speech
  • Survival
  • Unarmed

She'll be a Inexperienced at anything she's never done before, a Novice at things she's tried, and Amateur at things she's good at. Pick up to 5 that she'll be average at, and then two of those she can be expert at.

Per Equipment, she started with lightweight metal armor, a Trojan lightweight laser rifle, 3 surgomany packs, and 10 throwing spears. It looks like all she got from the research site was the notes and a protective suit, so she has a +1 to her Intelligence after you distribute the 40 points.

@GeneralDirection

You'll need to consider the above information for your characters too, but we'll pick your equipment after you meet with Mr. House. Given their younger age Nebel gets 38 points to distribute and Nightfall gets 36. Nightfall can be average at no more than 3 skills, or have 1 average and 1 expert, and Nebel can be average at 5 skills, or average at 3 with 1 expert, or average at 1 with two expert.

Hopefully that all makes sense? Again, I don't intend to do too much dice rolling, I just want to flesh out their skills in a bit of an objective way so I can balance their encounters accordingly. I'll keep track of these details behind the scenes, including when they improve in a skill, so you don't have to.

It all looks good except Survival, which is supposed to represent wilderness survival, which does not seem like something she would be good at. Let's give her an Expert in magic instead.

Do you still want her to have that dark magic connection?

Hmm... I think I should have had the city you're in have been hit by a Thaum bomb instead of an antimagic one, it doesn't make much difference on your end other than that the city is glowing instead of covered in a cloud.

I figured I should run it by you first before making the change.

@Props Valroa

Well, the spawn are creatures who have died, suffered in Tartarus, and returned to the world through the gates. This means they are creatures who have already died and made their way across the land.

Thaum residue is mutagenic in high doses, which allows for creatures similar to spawn to be made out of creatures struck by it, allowing for mutated NLR guards to be part of the enemy pool, as well as the chance for another encounter that wouldn't make sense if the city was covered in anti magic.

@Cheerilee

Per your post in the Æther thread, how far do you want to push this before you leave? This wasn't really set up to be a short term RP, but we can move forward until you leave and just leave it wherever it lies? Or we can just leave it alone here rather than getting invested to the point that you don't want to leave when the time comes.

Up to you in either case.
