FunnyJunk vs. The Oatmeal Part II

Anyone who reads The Oatmeal web comic may already be aware of this, but I just caught wind of it and would like to know what you think.

 

Remember http://theoatmeal.com/blog/funnyjunk Almost exactly a year ago I published a http://theoatmeal.com/blog/funnyjunk about my comics being stolen, re-hosted, and monetized on FunnyJunk's website. The owner of the site http://theoatmeal.com/blog/funnyjunk2 and some of the comics were taken down, He still had a ton of my comics hosted without credit, but the energy it would take to get him to take them down wasn't worth it. I thought the issue was done and over with so I let him be.

First, I don't think funnyjunk stands a chance in court, especially with continued copyright infringement. Second, I love how Matt is handling this. His campaign is at $133,917 at the time of posting this and still has 14 days to go.

FunnyJunk's admin is a bitch, the theoutmeal thing was the thing that triggered that i left FJ and joined this forum insted.

 

Personally i miss alot of the bronies on there, but I've had it of those jerks hating every single day on bronies, especially the admin calling us "gay horses" or theating to shut down the brony board if we didn't post like 80k posts in a day...

 

That is only a few of the examples I can come with. FJ (expect the FJ bronies) = Noobs.

The good news is the charity Matt is doing where half the proceeds are going to the American Cancer Society. So maybe they'll be eradicated as well.

The other half is going to the National Wildlife Foundation.

 

FunnyJunk is really lucky that Inman is so relaxed about this entire issue. If he'd chosen to sue FJ over posting his materials and monetizing them wihtout crediting him, he could easily win a copyright infringement suit. Some people.
